NFL (since 2016)

"Free agency started last night and was pretty crazy some huge money being spent. Osweiler getting £18m a year for the Texans, leaving the Broncos without a QB, Giants have spent a fortune on good but not great players, Oliver Vernon has more guaranteed money than JJ Watt. lots more deals but cant be bothered to list them all."

It will make my weekend if the Saints can get the win, and then the Ravens batter those cunts at 9.25

I was impressed with Nabers last week, very elusive and tough too. Took a nasty hit from Luvu and went straight back in once cleared

Rodgers was 27 of 35 for 281 yds last night , not bad for the oldest fella in the league .

I've changed the league to six teams.
If anyone fancies it that would be great - You'd enjoy it Miike.
My fall back was dropping my team so the four of you can duke it out but it won't allow me to do that.
Looks like week four is the earliest kick off as week three starts on Thursday.

Last call for any more for Fantasy NFL.
We need 3 more teams to make it an eght team league and one more for a six.
Will decide what to do first thing tomorrow.

Week 5 and McCaffrey's return can't come soon enough.
At least you still turn up on here when you’ve been beaten Grumps, Nutsin won’t be back until you win a game again.

Encouraging start for the Seahawks so far, looking better than I thought we would in what will be a transitional season. Missing three of our starting O line would normally be a certain defeat,  but just about pulled it off against an improving Patriots yesterday. Smith-Njigba is going to be some player.

Beat the smelly fish men next weekend on the road and I’ll consider our start excellent

cough, we had two brilliant DEs during our glory years, Mann & Manley. neither have been honoured by the hall of fame. they couldn't wait to throw a jacket on ray lewis, yet those two are still being ignored thirty years on

I watched an interview not long ago with the redskins hating parasite peter king (a big cheese on the selection committee), he was talking to one of our best beat reporters (john keim) and was asked why joe jacoby was still waiting to be honoured. his answer "Joe, sometimes had a lot of trouble with Lawrence Taylor". who fucking didn't?

The number of false starts was mind-boggling. And way beyond my comprehension of the game - I was wondering if it was something to do with Daniels waiting too long or something.
We're obviously better off with him than Howell, but seeing slightly more sensible play-calling makes me feel even more sorry for Howell.

The manner of the win - all FGs - is pretty funny after the struggles we've had with kickers.

No, nothing to do with Jayden. Schlereth (our ex super bowl lineman) was spot on in  the commentary saying that the giants (and in particular dexter lawrence) were making slight lateral adjustments/shifts prior to the snap and it was unnerving our line. A bit more composure and we could have scored 30+. Monday will be a good test
Dexter Lawrence = Dexter Manley and Lawrence Taylor, that's one heck of a lineman / linebacker.

Pretty much the perfect Sunday evening - Cowboys & 9ers getting roundly stuffed. Highly amusing.

Vikings go 2-0 beating the 49ers including a great 97 yard TD by Justin Jefferson.

On another note, the Giants have a Singletary in their squad, is he related to the legend?

Finally got round to getting sorted on the new WHO in time for the delightful return on the NFL.

Didn't seem such a long 7 months wait this time considering how awful west ham were for the end of last season, so roll on another superbowl appearance!!!

Good to see the rookie on the sidelines so soon after being shot and a professional performance considering mccafreys absence.

zebthecatI have set up a new league if anyone fancies it.
Hope crystal falace is OK and will close it if the official WHOLEAGUE gets resurrected,
You should be able to join given a combination these credentials. It has been so long since I joined and can't remember the process.
League ID: 12572014
Name: WHOTWO
Password: 648221

It is an 8 team league at the moment and has all the default settings, I have no idea whether that is the same setup as crystal falace's.

No draft date set yet but was thinking of Wednesday or Thursday eveing this week to start in week 2.
If you could post on here whether you have joined that would be good.

I'll join this tonight

Have set the draft to Thursday week at 21:00 I think.
Despite knowing my time zone Fantasy NFL still does all times EDT.
Can still bring it forward.

As we only have four teams right now, which is the minimum so we will have a league of sorts, I am thinking of leaving it to week 3 in case we pick up a couple of stragglers and at least make it to six.
Hope that is OK.

Thanks Zeb - I've joined up as Boston Blitz.

I think we normally have 12 teams but it'll depend how quick the rest get to see your update as to how many teams we have, especially as the game's are coming thick and fast.

Jets brushed aside last night, and that was without McCaffrey.

I just watched the Tyreek Hill footage of him being arrested.  The police's behaviour does seem unacceptable, but then he's acting like a petulant child in the car winding his window up and not getting out of the car when asked.
