Let's face it the most likely is deadline day Callum Wilson on loan with all the 'we tried' bullshit.
Nah, we are to much in trouble with our current squad. There will be deals...

you were calling this bullshit on the Potter thread? Now in this one it has legs whilst also making up numbers.

Usual rumours that it was dodgy deal and Tim might not have been up to any good. Either way, if we can get him out for what we paid and it helps towards a decent striker and midfielder on loan then let’s do it.

Gutted as I thought we might have actually gone big on a talented youngster.

I doubt we paid anywhere near £25m upfront so if we can flog him we might actually make a profit.

if Lopetegui & Potter have both looked at him and said 'no' then you take the money and move on. maybe stick a decent sell on % in the deal.

Hardly surprising.

He’s clearly not up to it.

Writing him off is insane.

Was and is universally lauded by those that follow South American football.  Don't forget he's younger than Scarles, had never been outside his own country, didn't speak a word of English, and he wasn't consistent first choice in the Brazillian league....he was signed on for his potential and to be breaking through in a season or two's time (when he'd still only be 20).

Anyone who thought he was going to contribute in any meaningful way this season is totally deluded.  He's almost two years younger than George Earthy who can't get in the team at Bristol City, and that many were calling for to remain this season.

It just shows how small time as a club we are that no one understands the idea of investing in talent for the future rather than buying hasbeens now, and it's depressing the Club are even thinking aout getting rid.
You are spot on. This is why Brighton do so well with youngsters, they give them time.

People like ferret want instant results like he gets on football manager, this is the real world.

He will be a top player and Potter is the ideal manager for him.

When was the last time any London club loaned us a player? I think we are way off the mark expecting Chelsea players to end up here.

BREAKING: Portuguese striker Andre Silva is ‘about to leave’ RB Leipzig for Graham Potter’s West Ham and has been left out of their game tonight later today due to this
is he the one that was at Wolves?
Nope.  Made his name at Porto, Milan and Frankfurt.  Was hot property about 3 years ago.  29 years old and out of favour currently at Leipzig.

Decent enough player. Lopetegui recognised his talent and gave him his debut at Porto in a Cup game where he 1st made his mark. Can think of worse signings right now as long as his injury history ain't dodgy, which looks a bit hit and miss..

twoleftfeet wrote: 15 Jan 2025, 13:47 We have been linked with some right rubbish!

The guy from Forest is a huge no.
Jonathan David isn’t an out and out striker.
The guy from Nice has scored 25 goals in 150 games
Evan Ferguson, injury prone.
The guy from Leipzig is 29 and past his best.
Duran is erratic.
Calvert Lewin NO

None fill me with joy.

Lets go for Olly Watkins, they need to sell now they’ve bought the Dortmund guy.

Olly Watkins.

Isn’t this Silva all about bringing others into play and with the rest of our attackers running off him, on a short term contract would take him but keep looking. Also push Chelsea to give us a couple of midfielders.
