To me everything should be about preparing for the Championship
With 17 games and 51 points still up for grabs by early January with the transfer window still open
Some sound as defeating as Nuno manages at times.
We are 7 points behind, not 17. Back to back wins which isn't impossible if managed right can soon change the situation quickly.
I agree we ain't down in early January, a lot of football left still and traditionally we have always put up a fight (I think) when we have gone down in the past.
But of course we are really up against it and cannot be confident of survival at this point. You can't keep losing your must win games. What worries me is it only takes one more swing of us losing and Forest winning and it's 10 points, then I think you'd have to accept it.

If Earthy isn’t playing he might as well go out
Id be picking him & the likes of Kante ahead of next season but I’m not the genius Nuno
Id be offering Paqueta for sale now but Nuno with no evidence thinks he is irreplaceable
To me everything should be about preparing for the Championship
Ideally that would be with new owners, new manager & Brady told YOURE FIRED

Re: Winter '25/26 Transfer Rumours Thread
Not only was his output good for the Stiffs in all competitions he continues to produce it in the FA Cup as well. Since back from injury that's 5 goals, 5 assists in 10 appearances.
Was a class bit of play from him as well to receive the ball on the turn to then beat a man before playing a lovely weighted forward pass for them to score from. I just think how good he could have linked up with Bowen and Summerville all ratting about in the final third. Still Nuno knows best after only giving him 8 minutes of Football to be sure he aint ready..

Their fans are delighted he’s back. Clearly, the youngster can play well at Championship level. We’ll need that when Paqueta fucks off when we go down.
Good decision to loan him out again. We’ll need him to hit the ground running next season.Very good point actually. Should we go down, we’ll have a player far more prepared than if he were sitting on the bench in London getting scraps or nothing for the rest of this season.
City, though, would have the last word when on-loan West Ham midfielder George Earthy after a successful loan spell last season, set up Riis to seal his hat-trick.
From beeb an assist after coming on.

Dont really have an opinion on Pinnock as I dont recall ever seeing him play, but he seems like a 'preparing for the championship' sort of signing. Which is probably what we ought to be doing.

Re: Winter '25/26 Transfer Rumours Thread
Words going for us to bid for Schjelderup. Winger from Norway playing for Benfica. Hard working and young, but i can't see him adding more then we had in Guilherme. Weird business of true. If we should go for a Norwegian winger, Nusa should be the target.leta hope we instead get a decent CB or two, as Kilman and Macro will get us relegated for sure...

Seems to be biting our noses off to spite our faces.
Wonder if Ward-Prowse is just thinking he'll wait out the big bald fuck.
Something clearly happened between Nuno and JWP during the Forest loan. It was so bizarre to immediately cut him out, even if none of us thought he should be starting. He’s roundly thought of as a good influence in the squad so to not even have him on the bench just makes it feel like there’s something really personal there.

Pinnock is definitely in the steady eddie category who would certainly improve the shit show we currently have. A proper Londoner, Lambeth boy and Dulwich Hamlet legend to boot!
It's too little too late though...a bit like when Rufus Brevett and Sir Les joined in January when we got relegated under Roeder.
Both were at the wrong end of their careers but even so their presence almost kept us up. They were exceptional under the circumstances.
As mentioned Pinnock would certainly be useful in the Championship. We need a composed veteran in there.

Relying on Disaster in defence in a relegation batlle now?

We need a centre back who can head a ball, a Tommy Taylor type player. I heard a comment at a match at Upton Park, about him, someone said I wish he had two heads rather than two feet

West Ham are making a move for Alpha Touré (FC Metz)
Fighting to avoid relegation from Ligue 1, FC Metz could lose their young talent Alpha Amadou Touré to a struggling English club. West Ham United are making a strong push for the 19-year-old midfielder, but the deal is far from being finalized for the Hammers.
At just 19 years old, Alpha Amadou Touré may soon be taking a major step forward in his young career. According to our sources, West Ham United are fully committed to signing the Senegalese midfielder from FC Metz. The Hammers are prepared to offer a substantial sum to convince Metz to part with their talented player. However, it's a very complex situation, and Touré is still a long way from leaving Lorraine.
Indeed, while West Ham, currently 18th in the Premier League, have clearly indicated their very concrete interest to the player's entourage, Metz are not yet keen on parting ways with their number 12, who is under contract until 2028, and no negotiations have yet begun between the two clubs. A product of the Génération Foot Academy, Alpha Touré has played 17 Ligue 1 matches since the start of this season.
