Daily Quiz anyone?

Post easthammer »

"If you are stuck at home and bored like me. How about exercising the old grey cells? I have for a number of years run quiz nights and couple of times a year. I was due to do one tomorrow which is now cancelled So I have a bank of questions sitting in my computer's hard drive. They are quite eclectic in their nature. I am thinking I could put up a set of questions for which you write down your answers. After 30mins or so I will put up the answers. DO NOT POST YOUR ANSWERS. before I post the right answers. You mark your own answers and post your score. I will then record the scores and at the end of the ""lockdown"" we will see who is WHO's brainbox supreme. Obiviously no looking up the answers (you only cheat yourselves) Word of warning these won't be easy questions as they have been devised for teams of six. Forming teams on here might be too problematic. So I'll try to pick out the easier questions. Any interest?"

"Mad Dog 2:43 Sat Jul 1 Ha ha, sorry mate, at least Easthammer is chomping at the bit now for the next film quiz! Always remember as a kid in the summer holidays in the mornings there was always Harold Lloyd, Laurel and Hardy and the Johnny Weissmuller Tarzan films on Tv. I know as we get older we always say, ""things in our day blah blah"" but I do think the present is the weakest in my opinion with regard to the quality of films. Every decade seems to have their certain fad. From the eras of epics and musicals to the disaster films of the 70's moving into the action genre of the 80's and so on. I think now seems to be the era of Marvel/DC and remakes. I'm not a big fan of the superhero universe, which is probably why I think that way. Christopher Reeve is still Superman to me and Lou Ferrigno painted green and running in slow motion is still more realistic that a CGI Hulk jumping 500 feet in the air!"

I got 11 correct (but I also think WHY is a legitimate odd one out but accept that I would have not gotten through on the programme) The first one I couldn't provide an answer for was 45%. What are Digital Swappes? Might just be being thick or that I did the quiz late at night after a long day out. Thanks MD. PS I agreed 100% with your post on the Rice thread.
