Russell Brand
Dispatches tonight could be about him so he has jumped in first dismissing claims and rumours and saying anything he did in past was consensual. No doubt it will be said that this is The Matrix coming after him due to his opposition to mainstream media.

Re: Russell Brand
Brand will need to use his legal team. He has been very vocal on his utube channel already so not going into hiding so early signs are this is a “witch hunt”. But he will need to go after the Times and Channel 4 to prove it. Not only go after them but go after them for a ton of money. That seems to kill these things off. If he does then it will indicate that legally he is in the clear even if he did take advantage of his fame and fall to the old “temptations of the flesh “. The delays of years and timing does raise questions too but let’s see his next step. And if he has raped or done something non consensual then of course he has to get what he deserves.

Re: Russell Brand
"Brand0 - if his content is truth seeking, then it is - definitionally- anti woke. Again, while he's appearing on the last leg and tacitly endorsing this stuff, no problem. When he wakes up and leaves the cult (belatedly, for someone who is supposedly intelligent) and begins to suggest that certain stories are promoted while others are suppressed, things that happened 15-20 years ago - which, even by this shambolic documentary's admittance- were widely known- come to the surface. It's not an especially complicated path to map, and not by any means the first time. The only vaguely interesting piece is that they've typically gone after right-leaning people and this is the first time that I can think of that they've pursued someone that has always been left-leaning. The wholesale rejection of their nonsense by anyone with a functioning braincell is, I suspect, worrying the cult leaders. Can't profess to having any great sympathy for the man, I've always thought he was a bit of a prick, generally unfunny, nowhere near as bright as he thinks he is, and as herm/pants say below, there's a difference between being promiscuous and being a fucking weirdo."

Re: Russell Brand
"“ For all I know that might be illegal but it is no more sexual assault that a woman ‘forgetting to take the pill’ when she’s trying to get pregnant on the QT.” “Stealthing” (taking the condom off) is illegal. But not taking the pill and lying that you have, that’s interesting legally.. never thought of that. I suppose in both cases it’s the woman that bears the immidiate consequences (unwanted pregnancy). Also condoms protect against disease so maybe that’s the issue courts are trying to solve there."

Re: Russell Brand
"It's almost 100% a hit piece meant to discredit him, kill off his audience and silence him. Of course he is no saint and he has openly admitted as such but there is a reason these allegations are being aired now, the people accusing want to stay anonymous and the media want to publicly vilify him. Mainstream media is totally corrupt. They cover up serious fraud for their pay masters and accuse others of things that cannot be substantiated as being fact."

Re: Russell Brand
"The first six ( SIX ) articles on the Telegraph website are taken up with this story. No comments allowed on any of it. On the original one tgat call his YouTune channel Anti Woke! I’ve not seen any anti Woke stuff. They previously tried a hatchet job on him six months ago calling him a conspiracy theorist. I’ve never seen any conspiracies on there either. Brand describes his stuff as truth seeking. Well, will be interesting to see tge truth in this story."

"In the words of Kamala Harris when responding to the allegations of sexual assault made against Joe Biden: ‘I believe them, and I respect them being able to tell their story and having the courage to do it’ Just putting that in for Capitol Man, joyo and Pickle before they come on with their bbc / c4 / CNN narrative."

Re: Russell Brand
Brand‚Äôs been critical of most topics the liberal elite want to censor. Not sure man of the people is what‚Äôs going on in this case. He may well have been a sleazy cսnt but it‚Äôs the timing that makes the motivation behind this so suspect.

"it was a terrible programme and I wouldn't trust the cunts at channel 4 as far as I could throw them, but this notion that brand's a man of the people is funny. I'm sure he was once engaged to jemima goldsmith (who's two brothers at the time were both married to a rothschild). you don't get any more establishment than that"

"Well, it didn't take the ""usual subjects"" to go full-on binary over this, did it? I suspect that, given the same circumstances, nearly all of us - back then - would have done the exact dame thing. It's just Baddeil & Skinner with the admittance that sex exists thrown in."

"Pents/Herm... well that's the problem isn't it. He's pretty obviously a wrong un. But aside from the one compelling story I mention below, none of it was illegal. So the question becomes a little about all the men who witnessed him being a wrong un and did nothing."

"Have had a read through the thread. If you’re alright with Brand shagging a 16 yr old but think prince Andrew should be locked up for doing the same, I don’t know where your head’s at. It’s not illegal, but nor should it be illegal for the father’s of 16 year old girls, who have been taken advantage of by men more than twice their age, to batter the living shit out of the horrible old perverts."

Re: Russell Brand
"Whether you think the timing of the documentary is a hit piece, the content is merely the tip of the iceberg.. whether it goes further or is yesterday's chip paper tomorrow is another matter. Seeing him at football or watching him on tinternet is a world away from being there closely for 5 years and witnessing the outrageous behaviour. Some comments here are very fair and some are fucking laughable."

Re: Russell Brand
"Boring, poorly made, with only one even vaguely compelling story... which was portrayed by an actor, so not unduly surprising that it was vaguely compelling. Was mildly amused to see them use a clip of him on The Last Leg - a program that actively endorses cancellation, archaeological offence taking, thought crimes, and targets anyone guilty of not subscribing to right-think. As close as you'll get to an admittance from C4 that until recently, he was on the right side of this so none of it - even if true - mattered, but now that he's woken up, he might be in a spot of bother. The begging message at the end for people to contact dispatches with stories was just embarrassing. No.. if you've been the victim of sexual assault, contact the police, not Channel 4."

Re: Russell Brand
"At a guess, because Brand’s podcast style addresses on Youtube have a political leaning that Channel 4 dislike and they’ve paid these women to make these claims in an attempt at getting him cancelled?"

Re: Russell Brand
"Nothing in the dispatches show has changed my mind. It was very poor and if that is all they have after an extensive year long investigation then I think Russell and his lawyers are going to go to town. The unknown comedian fella, his whole piece was him talking about gossip he had heard. C’mon. Still he got on the TV and I guess he feels this will help his career. As I said before; PwoperNaughtyButNot 1:19 Sat Sep 16 Re: Russell Brand If a crime has been committed then I hope charges are brought and convictions given. If no crime has been committed then it does feel like a hit piece and the whole lad / laddish culture created and nurtured by the media in the 90s/00s will be under the spotlight which won’t look good for channel 4 (The Word, Girlie Show etc) and will have hundreds of “celebs” being questioned for their behaviours back then. Geezer has a lot of enemies and the entertainment industry is a vipers nest full of jealous people pretending to be nice in front of camera. It’s another story, another battle line drawn for the idiots in front of the telly to choose a side to back and keep tuning in. Let’s see when happens. If real then a court of law will expose it. If not real then gossip and rumour will continue and the hit piece will have worked to a point for the mainstream and Brand will grow his own audience even more. One thing I have always wondered - is Kathryn Ryan and asset? I’m yet to understand what she does, why she is everywhere and why nobody on the states or Canada even knows who she is. Back to the 90s/00s laddish culture issue - she was as a corporate trainer for Hooters so will have some issues in her past too…"

"That’s the complete limit of my knowledge on the whole thing. If there’s credible claims against him then he should get what’s coming. And what Wils said was true, the media could have targeted him, and he could also be guilty."
