"He was temporary manager at Braga at the end of a season at a young age, 34? Went unbeaten winning nearly every game, Sporting paid £10 million for him. Won their first league in 20 years... Brings youth players through, plays exciting football like Alonso. Has a 70% win record."

what's to like so much about this Amorim bloke? I know fuck all about Portuguese football and very rarely watch Sporting? this fella according to Wiki has only managed Braga and now Sporting so forgive my ignorance (remember Mark Hughes being touted in a similar manner early in his career!!!!) but why all the hype and people getting excited he is being linked.

I'd lose my shit if we somehow got Amorim. He'd have been my choice but I thought perhaps a bit out of our reach.

Re: If David Moyes leaves West Ham who would you want to replace him?
"Hope this Amorim story comes off. Excellent And it is very positive the level of aspiration we're showing. On Moyes. He's been very frustrating over the last half of his time here. Form was dodgy last year despite the cup win. (Thank you Dave). Fair to say his time is up. He could have been excellent with more attacking balance, better squad building and bringing some kids through. Shame. But he's done now. So long and thanks for all the fish."
Re: If David Moyes leaves West Ham who would you want to replace him?
"Why would that mean something had gone wrong, he came over for a meeting not a mini break* *This doesn't mean I think there's any chance he'll become our manager"
Re: If David Moyes leaves West Ham who would you want to replace him?
"Fabrizio Romano @FabrizioRomano ¬? Follow ?üáµ?üá? Ruben Amorim returned to Portugal after meeting West Ham board in London on Monday. West Ham presented their project and will insist for Amorim; nothing done yet, while discussions with Liverpool are on stand-by. Amorim will discuss his future steps with his agents."
Re: If David Moyes leaves West Ham who would you want to replace him?
"Portugese journo quote; ""Something went wrong. The plane that took R??ben Amorim to London this afternoon is already returning to Lisbon. The coach who is still negotiating with @LFC and met @WestHam for the first time today is back in Lisbon. The meeting was not positive."" Hahaha perhaps Sullivan got involved ?"

"you're definitely a fucking weird cry baby, you even threatened to ditch your weekly thread because you can't stand a differing opinion. who called you an anti football cսnt? I explained why allardyce's team wasn't as negative as your hero, you didn't respond. well, you did, in your usual snide way"
Re: If David Moyes leaves West Ham who would you want to replace him?
"The Fonz 8:35 Tue Apr 23 Well written. More of the same balanced kind of posts welcome. (Takashi Miike et al, yes I know I'm a know-nothing, anti-football cսnt.)"
Re: If David Moyes leaves West Ham who would you want to replace him?
"The Moyes years have been kind to us overall and will be remembered as some of my favourite years supporting the hammers. Especially over the last 20-30 seasons (bar the odd one here and there). Very excited if we can get someone like the Sporting coach to take us to the next level. I am hoping Moyes gets the send off he deserves but like another poster has written, it will be dependent on how he conducts himself for the last part of this season."

Re: If David Moyes leaves West Ham who would you want to replace him?
"Alfs, you were on here about a week ago saying an announcement was due Friday, LAST Friday??? You had a reliable ""source"" in the media blah blah blah.......... So calling BS on this from you, although the Luncheon Voucher entitlement could have legs! :-)"
Re: If David Moyes leaves West Ham who would you want to replace him?
"I have a sauce inside the club that says Sullivan is extremely confident of landing Amorim as he, unlike Liverpool, has inserted a Luncheon Voucher entitlement into the proposed contract, along with a 12 month pass to lLegoland."
