The petition to revoke article 50 got over 6 million votes and was dismissed out of hand. Never seen the point of these petitions. At the end of the day, Labour have got a healthy majority, are under no obligation to call an election for 4 and a half years so this will be dismissed out of hand too. Not the biggest fan of Starmer, personally but he's being smart. Making all the unpopular decisions right after he's gained power and playing the long game. He knows that if he gets the economy at least moving in the right direction by the end of his 5 years, cutting fuel allowance to some pensioners and making a few whiney farmers pay inheritance tax will soon be pushed into the background and largely forgotten by most voters.

Says who? Have you heard of a vote of no confidence? If the public (who these mongrels are serving) don't trust or have faith in this government then a GE should be called. Whether we get it or not that is a different story. But seeing the outrage and the pressure when the Tories were in charge, don't we too have a right to put pressure on this shitshow? Yes but that wasn't the sole reason for the general election. It came to a big surprise to their party. Many thought it was political suicide. Nearly 2million signed. Wouldn't it be embarassing for your mob if it reaches the same amount who voted this clown in.
