"""According to Italian outlet LaRoma24.it, the Hammers have presented the 'remarkable offer' to Roma boss Jose Mourinho, who formerly managed their London rivals Chelsea and Tottenham, as well as United. It is claimed that Mourinho was 'flattered' by the 'rich contract', although remains focused on Roma as he looks to guide them into next season's Champions League."""

It's funny that a lot of the media are saying the opposite that we offered a good package that he was more than impressed with* *again don't know how true

"In fairness to Come on the Swiss, one of his brasses could also have someone in the know at the club as one of their clients....."

Im not sure Mourinho is the answer but he is certainly more appealing than the current option we have!

"I doubt it ED, at the start of last year he was well on the way to winning Roma their first trophy for a while and towards the end of it basking in that success.....this has only become a possibility recently no?"

"""To win any trophy being a manager or a player, very few get that opportunity. Jose Mourinho showed how much it meant to him, he's a serial winner. We wanted desperately to win the Europa League. We've got a job to do to reach a quarter-final now and I think that would be seen as a hell of an achievement to do that two years in a row.""รน"

"The time has passed for us having a chance of getting the likes of Mourinho. He's another one we could've maybe tempted last year, not now."

"Has Mourinho ever gone anywhere in England without a king's ransom to spend. He was also fairly abject his last two jobs at Man U and Tottenham. I don't see either side being up for this. If Swindon's right and Newcastle are in for him, we should mortgage the club to bring in Howe."

Mourinho wouldn't come in under diddy Dave no chance. Under kretinsky or other rich owners of course he would . Moyes has name checked him at todays press conference apparently so I'd be astonished if there isn't something in it .

"I think Mourinho would be great for us. Not the greatest style of football and might split the fans personality wise, but would be better in the transfer market and knows how to win a trophy. It might increase the chance of keeping Rice if we stay up too. Can't see it happening though."

"I have thought for a while now that as long as we don't get relegated and Chelsea don't decide to bring him back again then Mourinho will be our manager at some point in the future. He loves English football and loves living in London. His family have remained in London throughout the period where he has gone elsewhere to manage. His time seems to be coming up at Roma and his options in England are shrinking. Liverpool, Man City & Arsenal are huge no no's due to their current managers and also Mourinho's previous links to their rivals. Tottenham & Man Utd won't bring him back so I would say that this summer his options in this country might be Chelsea (If they decide to bin Potter), Newcastle (If they decide they want a more high profile manager to spend their money) or us. Whether you like him or not the fact is he is one of the most famous (or infamous) managers of the last 20 years and would increase our profile. If anyone could persuade Rice to stay it might be him."

"Jose is unquestionably a very bright and shrewd operator, coupled with inherent character flaws Swindon is correct, he has massive offs with players publicly but in equal measure a fanatically loyal band of current and former players I can't help liking the bloke and what ever his faults, he would light one hell of a fire under the club - oh, and in the unlikely event of him joining immediately, I would lump on that he wins and retains the EC Bring him in"

"He'd have to be a Moroniho to under the current majority owner....and doesn't he like to spend far more than they would be willing put up in the transfer market.....I mean it's sustained outlay isn't it with him, that's normally why he end's up falling out?"

"sorry LJC i clearly need to widen my views on the news. the shelf live of a manager these days is about 2 years so i've no problem with him coming in, making an impact and then burning his bridges a year or so down the line. of the names thrown around he's by far the best."

"Lots of ex players have fallen out with Mourinho as well. He's not been shy in criticising individual players in public. What you have to say is that he has won trophies at practically every club he's managed apart from Tottenham! He's very much an immediate Impact manager where he will come in, improve results and win a trophy and then inevitably fall out with the players and owner and get sacked after 2 years."
