"Free agency started last night and was pretty crazy some huge money being spent. Osweiler getting £18m a year for the Texans, leaving the Broncos without a QB, Giants have spent a fortune on good but not great players, Oliver Vernon has more guaranteed money than JJ Watt. lots more deals but cant be bothered to list them all."

I believe its an untimed play.

"Takashi Miike 12:36 I believe the game can't end on a defensive penalty. I don't know what they do clock wise, though. Probably put a second back on or allow one more play with the clock at zero."

The Purple People Eaters were a bit before my time but I've heard a lot about them The Vikings have been to 4 Super Bowls and bridesmaid in each one

"Far Cough 12:44 Mon Jan 15 Yes, I guess we can agree they both made bone head deals. I guess I would say Saints were the 'Aints almost Cleveland Brown levels a lot of the time pre Payton/Brees and never saw the Minnesota as awful. Saints had nothing like the Purple People Eaters. As I said last night, good luck to them hosting and winning it all. I have nothing against them. Great team, though the quarterback looked very rattled in certain throws and if another team push them, he will have to address that."

"the fucking Rg3 trade is also up there, the Rams getting three consecutive rd1 picks from us and one rd2 pick. absolute mentalist decision but that rookie season with him as qb was great entertainment"

"Ha ha, you can tell Cough is a bloody West Ham fan as like the rest of us, he fails to think there can be anything positive in our lives sports wise ;o) I'd say the Vikes would have to choke big time to not beat the Eagles, as although they have some blinding receivers, they also have Foles throwing to them and the fella just isn't anywhere near the top table, while Keenan is at least playing very well. Brady must be rubbing his hands together though. Everyone left in the running are basically rookies on the BIG stage compared to him who's been there, seen it and done it on numerous occasions. All about the nerve, I just hope there are some more games left like last nights two. Absolute belters."

"The Herschel Walker trade, a.k.a. the ""'Trade that made the Cowboys Dynasty""', was the largest player trade in the history of the National Football League.[1] It involved 18 players and draft picks.[2] The trade was made on October 12, 1989, between the Dallas Cowboys and the Minnesota Vikings."

You're not familiar with the Herschel Walker trade then?

"Far Cough 12:39 Mon Jan 15 Try being a Saints fan pre 2009. They once gave up all their draft picks for Ricky ""Blaze it"" Williams."

"Takashi Miike 12:34 Mon Jan 15 Yeah maybe. Williams says he should have defended the ball not the man but even that is a rookie mistake. You are the safety, the last line, so lay off and let him make catch and keep him in front of you and in bounds and they have no time for the kick. All easy to say in hindsight but something a veteran would probably consider."

I'm not sure what the rule is when the clock has run out and a foul is committed?

I didn't see the game but have seen the winning touchdown. It looks like the defender got there too soon and then had a dilemma of either hitting diggs early and giving up the penalty or ducking challenge and hoping he drops it or someone else makes a tackle

"El Scorchio 12:25 Mon Jan 15 It's fine. That's half the fun. Big ups, big downs. Payton can come across as snake oil salesman and his look-at-how-edgy-I-am play calling sometimes does my head in but can't argue he has worked wonders in the past and almost did again."

"ironsofcanada 2:56 Yeah, sorry about that. I know it must have been a gut wrencher. Probably don;t need me putting the boot in. I'd have been gutted if it was my lot. I just can't be down with Sean Payton."

Tortured my self and watched it again. Really looks from one angle like he is trying to avoid him. Sad end to an amazing game.

"I wonder if the CB missed the tackle as he though he'd get called for a late hit therefore stopping the clock, or he just bottled it LOL. I reckon Diggs is getting laid tonight!"
