"Any idea if he's a similar mould to AWB, Russ? It just all seems a bit too scattergun for me with the right back situation, with the players we've supposedly bid for."

Hopefully the Wan-Bissaka deal breaks down. Total garbage. Thought we might have moved on from signing 'big six' rejects.

"Story on socials now that AWB talks have stalled and we have now turned our attention to Almeira's 21 year old RB, Marc Pubill. Roma were looking to sign him but waiting for other deals to complete and so it may open the door. May be a ploy to push AWB to make his mind up?"

"Of all the strkers mentioned only Duran wants to come to little ol West ham. But we will have to pay what they want. But Sullivan does t want to hence protracted drawn out transfers. Villa got most if not all their business done. I guess Champs league footie is the difference? We dont have that so will pay a premium. Better to have a young striker even if not proven than starting a season without one again. We pay £25 million for a young Brazilian with potential who’s not played at the top level but for another 15 million could get the Villa lad whos shown he can score at the top level? Sullivan factor at play as Duran not with one of his cronie agents? He will quibble over a few pennies. We will have to overpay. Thats how it works. And these days you have to pay agents undeserved amounts if u want the player. We hate it but thats reality. Wan Bissaka will arrive he’s a client of Salthouse, Sullivan’s crony mate."

Latest I have read on AWB - Clubs have agreed a fee. Man Utd have told player he is being sold. West Ham told player the want him. Wages being negotiated. Player has told agent he wants European football but all parties feel if terms are right then deal should be concluded in 48 hours. Fucks me off this type of thing (if true). He has not played for Man Utd. So I do love these players cheek when they want European football. How about you just play some football? Greedy twats.

"North Bank 12:08 Tue Jul 30 I don't believe the club can be criticised here. Monaco and AC Milan have been in talks for a while over Fofana. It's expected he will go to Milan. But today AC Milan have accused Monaco of playing games by bringing West Ham into the mix. This is by all accounts Monaco's way of driving up the price. AC Milan have thrown some criticism our way. But not sure why? I mean, I have said it before about other clubs, if Monaco want a price for a player and are not getting it then they are free to sell their player to whoever they want. Sounds to me like AC Milan are squirming and trying to defend their honour because they aren't the power they once were."

"Great news we've put an offer in for Fofana the bad news is that he's going to AC Milan. Still, it'll get picked up by the papers and we'll be reported as being a progressive club, Sully will.love his ego being massaged, but in reality it's phantom bids and bids where we have no chance of pulling it off, just like every transfer window."

"I think most don't doubt we'll get there in the end, we wouldn't have got rid of Moyes, brought in an ambitious manager, gave Steitden more responsibility, just for nothing, or a lanky centre back. The window is kind of split in two, the first being business done before the KO and then before the deadline. It's looking like it will be more or less the same side against Villa unless we act quickly now, and that's probably where the main frustration is. Didn't Lop himself say he wanted a number of new faces for pre-season and business done early given the state of the squad."

"It's not even August yet, you fucking minges. We didn't sign anyone last year before August. We're very close to wrapping up a couple of signings, believe it or not the hold ups are because of the selling clubs, not that it will be of any consolation to you fannies. Calm the fuck down."

"I thought when Moyes went all this dithering may have stopped but maybe not! Why do we always leave it so late, and the striker situation is beyond joking about, how many windows now FFS I wonder if Tim dithers each morning on what scarf he's going to wear....LOL Joking aside, either things are not going to plan or Sulli is the maybe the problem here and was when Moyes was around?"

"Another day of an open transfer window with ZERO signings. Our transfer business so far, a third choice goalkeeper, an 18-year old unproven Brazilian kid and £40 (FORTY) million laid out on an uncapped defender from a side with a not much better defensive record than us last season. I can foresee and long, hard season ahead battling against relegation. I think Lopetegui will be gone by Christmas."

Have we got to the stage where we're believing EVERY single transfer rumour stuck out there by desperate agents?

Being linked to 31 year old Niclas Fullkrug now. He has a pretty decent strike rate over the past few years but its his age. We keep hearing the new regime want young recruits! Still might be worth a punt dependent on the fee of course or a loan?

"Being linked to 31 year old Niclas Fullkrug now. He's nothing like Duran as a player, is he? Going by our right back targets, who again all seem completely different types of players, I'm starting to wonder if anyone knows what they're doing at the club."

"Agree Tex that when you look at the game time and fee, it looks a ridiculous amount to play. I would say though, based on seeing 3 of his cameo appearances on the telly from my armchair ( a surefire analytical process ;-) ) that he looked very effective. Physical, strong, aerially and on the deck and a rocket of a shot with little backlift that reminded me of Dean Ashton. So the hope is that this is why Villa are holding out for a fee. They suspect he is going to be a real force but cannot offer him a first 11 spot in front of Watkins just yet but at thesame time also know you cant keep a player with attitude who wants to play now even though he’s only 20. He has the physical attributes Scamacca and Haller lacked which to me ( imo ) suggests he can be a success. Like Kudus has shown already, if you are very strong physically, have good technique, it is highly effective for a player regqrdless of age. The issue with Duran might be if he, like Kudus, proves a success too quickly and then wants another move. Kudus seems more respectful but even he will be gone next season if we dont make Europe imo. Duran, if we did get him, has only one other challenge, to overcome the West Ham striker curse. A career impacting injury or catastrophic loss of form"

"Fofana wants Milan, forget about him. Looks like such is our desperation now we are now bending over for Villa, probably the right call."
