General Election - July 2024

Post twoleftfeet »

This appears to be the rumour on Sky. An easy win for Starmer and some big names losing their seats. The Country needs a change but is it going to get one? The thought of seeing that annoying Beth Rigby for 6 weeks though is a horrifying thought.

"ray winstone 2:12 Fri May 31 raaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay, instead of trying to guess what some poster on an internet forum doesn't look like. Why don't you reflect on how silly you made yourself look over politics and devoting yourself to a party that has never represented you properly yet you still hold what can only be described as a blind loyalty to it. Your fixation on trying to get revenge on 'the blues' is what makes you childlike in your outlook to politics......meanwhile shit needs to be seriously sorted out in this country and the blues or the reds are not up to it haven't been for decades and have both been given more than enough chances to do so. They are in it to keep power alone the rest is a damage limitation exercise."

"Can’t vote Tory for what they have allowed to happen. The only vote that would be worse that a Tory vote would be a vote for Labour. So any alternative that has an agenda to fix the obvious problem would get my vote. Nice to see MPI realize he is spineless, perhaps he’ll now have his moment of clarity and will wake the fuck up. MPI man the fuck up!"

Starmer is so bland that bland itself is ashamed to be associated with him.

I see SOMEONE is still slavishly politicking for a party they claim not to vote for.

"So Starmer has backed down .........again. I was starting to warm to him after his purge but it would appear that he is a bottle job. He will be destroyed by his own party when he is given the keys to no10, he is being used."

I find it funny how pragmatists often unravel at election time. You've sometimes got to believe in something and find support on that thing.

"To be fair to Abbott, and I really don't want to be, but if you watch her earlier TV appearances in the 80s and even the 90s, she was a lot sharper and performed ok QT. I don't know what happened to her but he mental acuity took a sharp dip in the 2000s and Starmer is right to consider her am electorate liability even if the good people of Hackney and Stoke Newington think she is good enough for them."

"side, it's funny, I have this image in my head of an overweight man, probably an unkempt beard, if you're married, you probably haven't had sex for years as your wife finds you too repulsive and you have a small circle of friends, most of whom think you're a bit of a cսnt. So, I apologise, not 12, just an adult stuck with a child's intellect who can't differentiate between someone who has a polarised political view and someone who actually gives a fuck. Now toodle off back to your work station and enjoy the rest of Friday and have a great weekend....... wanking."

It doesn't seem to matter what fuck-ups parliament foist on the population so long as it's YOUR party in power doing all the foisting. The colour of the rosette on the pig in power is all (ALL).
