NFL (since 2016)

"Free agency started last night and was pretty crazy some huge money being spent. Osweiler getting £18m a year for the Texans, leaving the Broncos without a QB, Giants have spent a fortune on good but not great players, Oliver Vernon has more guaranteed money than JJ Watt. lots more deals but cant be bothered to list them all."

I backed that sod Rudolph religiously last season and he didn't score a single first TD for me. Night I sneak a few quid on Diggs the bugger rocks up at 12/1 with me not on him!

"RBshorty 2:32 If you get the chance to draft a franchise quarterback, you have to take it. He can always sit for a season behind a vet to learn the ropes and be protected from getting destroyed while the oline gets some additions and the vet takes the punishment. Eli was Kurt Warner's backup for most of one season while he got acclimatised. Just because it's now fashionable to have the rookies play straight away it's not mandatory. Rodgers was a backup for a few seasons (albeit to Favre) but it never hurt him much. At the very worst, just have Geno Smith or Davis Webb start next season. The Giants ARE going to have a top 5 or top 3 pick, No question. A high end QB is the hardest part of the jigsaw to find, Just ask any team without one. If you have the chance, you don't pass it up. All the other pieces, including serviceable left tackles, can be had in free agency. If Eli goes there will be a tonne of money available to spend. Rebuilding round a 37 year old makes no sense at all."

"To be fair this is the most competative most divisions have been for a long time, all divisions are close and really except foe the patriots i wouldnt feel confident staking a large sum of money on who is going to win any given division"

"If I wake up tonight I might get and watch the Bears v Vikings The NFC North is rammed with proper old time rivalries As a 'skins man my prediction of checking out next year's draft by week-6 has proved pleasantly wrong, despite 2-defeats I'm confident. Still time for lots to go wrong though."

"I'd take the piss out of you Davies, but my Niners are probably even worse at the moment. Once you know how the game works, it's a brilliant sport and regardless of them wearing pads, there isn't a game as tough out there. And unlike footballers, when they break bones etc they don't roll around like bitches."

"Bwns have consistently been the worst team in the league for about a decade now so good choice. Thought things were looking up abit for them this year but they look worse than ever. I do love the redzone, don't get to watch it as much as I'd like because I will watch the Patriot's games in full when they're on, was nice being able to just watch every game this weekend, even if the early games were of a pretty poor standard"

Stayed upfor the Cowgirls v Packers The decision that the Cowgirls got for their 1st down with a few mins left was atrocious Rodgers and the Packs drive (including Rodgers run) for the winning score was immense though. 4-1 and looking good for the Packers going in to the game v Vikings

"chiefs do look good, but they still have a lot of tough games remaining on their schedule. AFC is up for grabs this year, Patriots gave the Steelers a great opportunity to take a commanding lead over them for a playoff bye and then they subsequently lose to the Bears and Jags."

Scorch. I agree with what your'e saying. But getting a rookie QB. And throwing him straight in. With that OL is just inviting the lions to the slaughter.

"No point in the Giants keeping Eli and his salary if they need a total offensive rebuild- possibly (hopefully) with a new coach and GM, seen as the coach is absolute toilet and the GM is a disaster at drafting and evaluating talent. Best to clean house and start again if they tank so badly they get a top three pick, which looks likely with the worst offensive line in the league and only a 5th choice receiver fit and available! Eli could go down to Jacksonville. Wouldn't be a bad way to spend the last couple of years for him. The line is making him look really bad. Most of the time he doesn't have time to go through his progressions, and opposing teams are getting to him easily, rushing only 4 players so no-one is open down the field and all he can do is throw checkdowns and short stuff over the middle or take the sack. The run game is so poor that no team even needs to commit defenders to try and stop it which means they can sell out on stopping the pass every single time. That's when you have to make the throws you don't want to with no time and get the incompletions and turnovers. Almost an impossible job"

"All over Chicago tonight with Howard first TD. Rookie QB being given a chance and they basically have owned the Vikings at Soldier field in the recent past with 8 out of 9 wins. Or in other words, the Vikes will win by about 30!!"

"Really not sure Eli has got another year or 2 left in him, his arm strength looks gine, with beckham out for the year the season is over, might be time to reset and bring a young QB through while you still have the defence in place, would sace alot of cap space too"
