Took my 4 year old to Villa at home last season. He loved it and lasted 75mins of a dross 1 all draw before I had to take him to the bar to drown our sorrows.

I wouldn't bring a 5 year old. Most don't have the attention span. Make sure you're got a phone they can play on or a colouring in book or similar. 7 or 8 is a safer bet.

I took my youngest at 2 as had a spare but older one been going since 5 - I’ve always bought him a ticket. I know that others carry their little ones through the turnstiles with them and sit on their lap. You can take the chance but if it’s his first game it should be special and getting turned around for not having a ticket ain’t the best for the lad. You’ll probably get away with it but for what it costs for a kids ticket I’d pay the money.

First brought my Lad to The Boleyn when he was 7… He is 28 now and been a season ticket ever since. It really is our Son/Father time.
