Really good news for the club. Great player with a great attitude. His best years ahead of him. Well done to all involved and hopefully he stays until his contract expires! Will go down as a legend for that goal.

"Great news to get him tied down- although the Dyer family already did that for us :) He's become a really excellent player for us and an absolutely key one. Almost first name on the team sheet now, along with Paqueta."

A big signing this one. Well done to everyone involved for getting this one done. This is positive news which is probably why there are so few posts on this thread in true Who style.

"If there is a buy out for less than 65 or 70 million then it isnt worth the paper its written on or he doesnt expect to get any better - in an ideal world, its an 8 year contract with no buy out. tjhat would show proper loyalty from both sides"

"FCJ - maybe that's what it took to get the deal done. Let's be honest we're fucking shit at signing strikers, we have Bowen who scores. Could have had to sell him on the cheap buy a replacement who didn't work and squander money on them again."

"He is 27 in December In his peak years but 5 years would have been sufficient Fair play to him , he has the security for the rest of his career."

"Good news he has signed a deal, he's a really good lad but the length of it is just bizarre. We could get saddled with a crock for years or an average player for years on massive money. I know he is an important player for us in this current side and in his current state but loads of players have had dips in form or completely dropped off the radar after injury."

"he is a decent chap and a good fit for West ham and vice versa . He's the main man here, more so than he would be at a 'Top 4' club and he shines bright. He will get picked for England no problem he should not need the 'big 4' factor to influence that. Well done Bowen!"

"Pentonville, I had a run in with him on his site for his clickbait nonsense of a title re Bowen. He asked me what would I post !"

I’m more concerned about Holly Willoghberry to be honest.

Gonzo will be gutted. Managed 4 videos over this non story and had 2 lined up for the potential replacements that was never happening If there is no release clause then it really is a monumental signing.

"Surprising, I read on here he was the next to go after Paqueta. Mind you, it was probably from the same posters who said we were getting relegated."

I always thought he'd sign a new deal . Not as though a contract is worth a light nowadays. Well done Jarrod.

"Great news - though I still think Liverpool will come a'calling. Means his price will be a lot higher. I'm sure this stuff goes on. ""Look, Jarrod, we'll add a £2 million signing fee to your new contract so when Liverpool come in for you they'll have to pay us £20 million more. Sound fair?"""

Great news but didn't think he'd leave tbh. Not unless another london club came calling.
