Oasis tour 2025- mad for it?

So they’ve finally reformed after years of speculation and denial and announced a 2025 tour. Musical geniuses or a bunch of cunts?
I’m IN.

The reason everyone has gone mental for it, and a lot of young people, is because music (actually, the world) is so fucking bland now, with bland cunts dictating absolutely fucking everything, that people are desperate for something with a bit of heart and backbone.
Was never a diehard fan, but the older I get, the more I appreciate them and what they were about. I always thought getting older and nostalgic gave people a blinkered view of the past. It doesn't, life really just was better back then, that's why all these young people want a piece of Oasis so much.

Not that Mad for it, No.
Think it was of it's time, and recollections like that of Bobbymoore pretty much prove me right. The costs are too rich for me, went to a tribute band event at the weekend and saw five bands including "Whatever" who gave me a decent get pissed, belt out lyrics and enjoy myself experience for the cost of a small round of drinks at Wembley.
Renewing my interest in their back catalogue and enjoying a few trips down memory lane that way is more than enough.

Found my ticket from 2000 at Wembley - £28.50. Seen them at their peak, unlike then, doesn't look like they have nearly as good as support acts as Happy Mondays and Doves. Frankly I'm a lot older and unhealthy and standing for hours while the crowd lob pints of piss everywhere doesn't really appeal to me, these days.
I was 18 and went to Wembley without a ticket. Paid £100 off a tout and got there at 7am, we was right at the front for entry. Waited hours to get in and then run to the front of the stage. Was a great day.

You'd have to be a few screws loose to like their whiney, repetitive sound, so not surprising their fans will be willing to line their heroes pockets.

Noel and Liam hate touts so much they decided to put them out of business by doing the touting (and taking the profits) themselves.
Couple of skanky Manc cunts.

Apparently the legitimate online ticket touts such as Ticketmaster etc are now trying to excuse their blatant touting/profiteering (also see supermarkets blatant monopoly price fixing as Price Match) by calling it ‘dynamic’ pricing for ‘in demand’ tickets. So anyone complaining about getting ripped off by paying £350 in the afternoon for the same ticket that was £151 in the morning, you're not getting ripped off it's just 'dynamic' pricing. Enjoy the show.

Rumours were it would mostly be Noel's band (of which a few have been members in the latter days Gem, Sharrock, etc), and then headlines that Bonehead was invited and will be involved. No doubt Noel's accountants will be screwing every last penny out of the dates before he announces anything. Greedy little thunderbird cսnt

Looks like the Gallagher brothers have got the money in by now. What’s left is to employ several contractors to play drums, keyboards and guitars, choose the set list and set about barely tolerating one another’s company for a couple of days every so often.

After the first two “popular” albums - Be Here Now is still a decent album.
Fucking hell, what is this madness? One of the worst received albums of the last thirty years. Complete fucking dogs arse of an album.
Haha. I actually think the songs are mostly decent but the production on that album is fucking horrible.
They really should've taken a couple of years off after wtsmg. They were never the same after that.

Never understood why some people just can't accept someone else liking a band that they don't. Just because an individual dislikes a band it doesn't make that band crap. I went to see Springsteen for the 34th time a few weeks ago and I don't care who likes or dislikes his stuff, that won't detract from my enjoyment. Each to their own and all that.

The record sales were due to many people buying it without hearing any of the tracks beforehand and expecting it to be as strong as the previous two.
Probably the greatest anti-climax album ever released.

The Masterplan is a compilation album containing B-sides of all their hits from the first two albums !!
Most bands would chew your right arm off to have the minerals to write an album like Masterplan. For Oasis, as you say, they were B Sides.

It’s all about opinions fella.
Although to be fair I did forget about The Masterplan, which is also decent. Ish.

We can’t all like the same stuff, but I find the only “two decent albums” point inaccurate. After the first two “popular” albums - Be Here Now is still a decent album. The Masterplan is, in my opinion, very good. Even the first three albums in early 2000’s had some great songs between them.
The ticketing was a fiasco however.

I didn't bother trying but I like Oasis.
Just not enough to pay the amount they were asking for and to see them in a stadium like Wembley.
Happy to leave this one to others.

I wonder if there will be any interaction with the crowd this time, or will Liam just stand there for two hours with his arms behind his back, singing through his nose?

Airlines use dynamic pricing and as the price ratchets up the rise in price swells the airlines coffers. Conversely when gig tickets accelerate in price I get the impression that a lot of this extra money is skimmed off by the ticket agencies.

First 2 albums were brilliant, then they went a bit shit.
Heard Liam 'singing' live a few times recently over the years. Awful, shouting more than singing.
I really wouldn't pay the prices the tickets are on sale for and personally, I don't know what all the hype is about.
