"Last week the Birmingham Post carried an article in which the Udai Emrie, listed his best 10 decisions since becoming Villa's coach. First in the list was ""selling Ings"". How on earth did we fall for this? Mubama MUST start on Saturday. Let Ings earn his corn against the Serbian no hopers on Thursday."

In all fairness Vexed you did call this one right at the time. But even a broken clock is right twice a day...

We could make a YouTube montage of him playing for Burnley and Villa. They wouldn’t know the difference

Interesting that you've pretty much outed yourself there Willtell but for once it wasn't your usual shit clueless football opinions interspersed with weird sex offender stories you usually shit up this board with. Tell us where you've buried Maddie you beast.

Good of you to own up to your growing list of failed forecasts Vexed. It doesn’t rank with Declan Rice being a CB in midfield mind…

"I was against his wages and his contract length. Many were just simply happy we were at last signing a striker. He was Sullivan's signing, so Moyes shouldn't be seen as a baddie for him joining. But it will be Moyes's decision to play him."

"I was one of those that questioned why we were signing a striker that was slow, and not much of a physical presence, when it's been blindingly fucking obvious that we cannot function as a team with someone quick and physical up front. However, even I'll admit that I still thought he'd contribute regular enough goals along the way. Fuck me what a disaster."

"agreed, he needs to go on the first day, i hope the club are looking at potential clubs now. we still need a replacement for scamaca, but ings wont be missed at all even with no antonio and the african players off."

"Ings is shit and he should be out the moment the window opens. Instead we will trot out the old 'we can't let him go until we get a replacement in' line, and we will be stuck with him as 20 mins at the end of the window won't be enough time to get rid. I wouldn't give Ings one second on the bench let alone the pitch."

He is utter gash and up there with one of the worst signings ever made.

TBF that’s the only positive of the deal that we gave him a 2.5 year contract rather than a 3 or 4 year one. I still think there will be clubs down the bottom that will desperate in January and take him on. Even if It’s just a loan.

"We were in quite a bit of trouble last January, so it seemed a decent signing at the time. I wasn’t so bothered about the £15m fee, but £125k a week for 30 months was excessive. That’s another £16m on top. But I suppose we were desperate at the time. Unfortunately he doesn’t fit into Moyes’s system and Moyes is not flexible enough to adapt his system. Now it seems his legs have also gone, so we’re stuck with an expensive flop."

Have to admit I was one of those that thought he was a decent signing when we signed him (Albeit I thought we overpaid). At the time I also said he would have been the perfect signing the previous January when we were desperate for another striker to help Antonio. It’s been a disappointment.

"its soon coming up to a year since we signed Danny the goal machine Ings, I will admit I was not unhappy at the signing at the time. I thought we paid too much but given our situation, was a welcome addition. I also stupidly believed he would be used in a front 2 with Antonio. fast forward 11 months and the only notable things, are discovering his outrageous salary and him sewing his arse hair into his scalp."

I’ve seen it said that Ings was a “gift” for Moyes from Sullivan. But so we’re Downes and Vlassic and they didn’t play anywhere near as much. I can only assume it was actually a Moyes buy and he keeps hoping Ings will justify his joining WH…
