A Cheltenham fan who wanted to attend with his boy who already had a ticket has posted a video on you tube complaining that after purchasing a ticket it was subsequently put in hold and he was asked to prove he was a fan by sending a picture of himself in a West Ham shirt. I've not got the link but he posts under the rocking robins channel if I remember rightly

So his plan to play a strong team so we get more rest didn't work . So he might as well play all the players he didn't play with some youth mixed in for the replay

"Looking at that team selection yesterday surely we all knew we'd struggle, except of course the clown that selected it, picks five centre mids with no real pace amongst them and no cutting edge other than Paqueta who shouldn't have been picked in the first place & no width Moyes relies on a stroke of individual brilliance from Paqueta, Kudus & Bowen, that seems to be his only form of creating chances, we certainly don't seem to have any patterns of play in the last third. Another long day wondering why it's worth the effort, be so much easier to be a loudmouth expert sat in his armchair Here's a damning statement from one of our current players, no surprise but makes sense why we can't intergrate any decent strikers in this side ""The way the manager plays, it's not the most beautiful way,"" he said. ""People say it's negative, but before he came in we were conceding a lot of goals.he makes us stay tight and we're not as expansive even when we have the ball is because we don't want to be countered."" "" People can see it as negative, people can see it as us not playing football becasue 95% of the time it isn't pretty, but at the end of the day it's getting us results and it's winning us cups."""

"scott_d 4:00 Mon Jan 8 Indeed mate. Very difficult almost 8 months after winning a European trophy to be signing ""European Champions - We know what we are!"" when you are being drilled at home by Bristol Fucking City."

"Same shit different game, just this time was against a mid table Championship team against our full strength for most positions See my comments for Fulham, Liverpool, Brighton, Olympiakos, Everton, Chelsea etc and just copy and paste Mubama was awful but to be fair to him us just passing it sideways and backwards till we have to pump it up to him was never going to suit Soucek wouldnt get in the Bristol City team Anyone defending that yesterday really needs to give their head a wobble. When you have the players that we do and you watch a side who are 11th in the Championship dominate the ball the whole of that 2nd half then serious questions have to be asked. Some of the excuses and comments on here trying to stick up for Moyes are downright embarrasing. People wonder why the stadium is quiet, after 10-15 mins yesterday what was there to get behind? It was fucking awful stuff"

Roberto Martinez. Although Moyes reckons he would have won the league title had he had Lukaku. https://www.telegraph.co.uk/football/2016/09/11/david-moyes-claims-he-could-have-won-the-premier-league-if-he-ha/

"They deserved to win (yes I was there) and will finish it off properly in the replay. After all, why draw a 'big' team and throw it - waste of time. Let's concentrate on being a mid table team and avoiding relegation every season, who wants to win the fucking FA Cup anyway (said no REAL fan ever)"

Even Fellaini got 26 assists in 177 apps at Everton! Had a look just out of interest at Moyes 70 odd signings at Everton. Unsurprisingly he didn't have a whole lot of luck with strikers and possibly some of his most successful signings were his full backs like Coleman and Baines. If you placed an at the time Pienaar and Cahill in our side they would fit in pretty well. Pienaar would certainly work harder defensively than Benny! I think certainly a Cahill type would help us.

"Fellani was a far superior footballer to Soucek. He could run, tackle and pass and control"

"""Moyes leaves us scratching our heads more weeks than not. That's all it is."" That's nail on head for me. Personally, I'm not massively pro or against Moyes right now because the league position and European form is still decent. It's very hard to get behind such a negative approach whilst you're at the game. Brighton and Bristol City games were soulless and that is not down to the stadium. It's hard to sing and dance your way through a dour 1-1 draw with Bristol City just because we are 6th in the League and won a European Trophy. That doesn't seem to matter when the team are passing the ball backwards and sideways and most of the team are incapable of finding a forward pass."

zico 3:51 Mon Jan 8 Moyes looks at the results of games that have been achieved with a specific line up. Very much like his mates in the media. Moyes can't be bothered to look at individual performances to the point where he would see Soucek offers very little above a possible chance of getting on the end of something. He looks at the sum of its parts. Which is fair enough. But when Soucek doesn't score he literally does nothing other than run around.

"I still don't see what Moyes sees with Soucek as a starter as he gives absolutely nothing if he doesn't score. His passing was atrocious even by his standards at the weekend, giving the ball away and just lumbering around the pitch. I don't think I have ever seen him steam into a slide tackle. Six assists in 141 appearances is awful for a midfielder. He isn't even knocking down headers in the area for people to get on the end of. Most of us agree that Fornals and Benrahma are struggling but in comparison Fornals has 14 assists in 151 apps and Benrahma 16 in 110. Should be nothing more than a late sub when going direct if we need a goal."

"if the walrus had someone like paqueta who would relieve him of all duties to come up with a coherent attacking plan due to his ability to constantly create something form nothing, and players like bowen and kudus who are finishing with a clinicism that would make harold shipman blush, i imagine we would be playing exactly the same sort of football."

Given Paqueta was injured in the warm up at Arsenal and passed fit to start and lasted 20 mins .... and was passed fit and lasted 15mins yesterday I presume some medical staff have got their P45's this morning

Did they ‘up their game’ or did we just let them have the ball to make chances for themselves? What usually happens against any opposition? Home or Away?

Lower league team raises game and gets draw at PL team... hardly a shock... happened in the past ... and it will happen in the future... I seem to remember us going to Wolves when they was in the PL and we was in the C'ship... and we raped them 3-0.... Premiership You are having a Laugh was the song sung all day that day... it happens

"Tomshardware 11:46 Mon Jan 8 Oh turn it in. You sound like Jim White. 6th in the league with an out of form Man Utd, Chelsea - Add to that Newcastle dropping like a stone. Look, some fans are happy just to look at things at a glance. If you do that we look OK. Other fans are more involved and look deeper. And they come on here to discuss it. just because its lower team doesn't pin on that we should win 6-0 have we ever done that ? no and most clubs don't. Half decent side city were its football - a 0-0 and a 1-1 comes along now and then get use to it
