"Signed up until 2027. Didn't see a thread on it, but maybe I've gone blind in my old age or it's mentioned in another one? Has anyone checked if Sir Alf is OK?"

Ha! I mean it in good nature of course :) It's good to hear you're coping. Yup agree it's good to get anyone with some value locked up and I can see a role for him in the squad as well if not as an automatic starter because we do need and are sorely lacking depth. There is no question his goals are handy as well. 5 in the league and 9 in all comps isn't bad for the turn of the year.

Czech Republic is a bit like Nigeria and some of the African nations where govt and civil administration and record keeping is not such a priority in their culture. He is 43 allegedly. Explains a lot ?

"Out of interest how old is he now, because he doesn’t move round the pitch like a cheetah now so how slow will he be in 3 years time!"

"Thx for thinking of me Scorchio I have access to many resources, Samaritans, counselling and back up options of a noose and revolver. Currently, I’m using up my Xmas shipment of top quality crack from Columbia to get me over the shock and thru the darkest days ahead Being a tad more serious, I have discussed the renewal and deluded myself that it’s a good thing to get a better price if sold and that he has a squad role to play longer term because he definitely has value aerially and physically and can notch the odd goal in the games we employ “backs to the wall” low block Moyesball. My hope, I repeat ad infinitum is that Steidten gets his players not Moyes preferences and eventually even Moyes realises he cannot start Soucek in every game especially against teams we should try to go “toe to toe “ with and try more of a possession / pressing tactic. But we need pacy, more technical and athletic players like Kudus to give Moyes those options. He might leave them in the bench at first but a big enough fee ( and quality to match) does tend to see even Moyes give a non-Moyes pick a chance?"
