He needs a loan spell . Anyone who's watched him in the youths .Knows he can hold the ball up . He looks as nervous as a kitten I can't blame him when you see who the manager is . Lyall greenwood and redknapp he isn't .

"I don’t think mubama looks comfortable playing g up top on his own. A few times in the first game against city you could see He was trying to do what he does with the youth team, which is making a yard of space for a shot from outside the box. But instead of having that hard, he’s getting closed down quicker. He needs some help and support - he looked good in pre season with cornet alongside him when we played a sort of 352. He also looked much better in the first game when ings came on and he seemed to drop Out wide on the right more. Expecting a youngster to be a target man is a big ask, that’s a huge jump from u21/u23 to first team. But he showed in the Burnley game that if you put balls in the right area, he makes the right runs. Again, in the first game against city, he was a bit unlucky when bowen played a ball across goal as he busted a gut to get through to it but bowen curled it so it cut back and went behind him"

Early days but very impressed with Marshall. Watched a lot of the youth games and has a hint of a young Craig Bellamy about him. Early days as I say.

"I would say my biggest concern in the cameos I've seen from Mubama currently is I don't see him using his physical attributes well enough. He's a pretty big lump, quick and strong. Defenders should be nervous about dawdling on the ball with him around. He should be using his stature and being a bit physical with his opponents, as well as getting all those arms and legs between the defender and the ball when it's played into him. Basically he needs to make the defenders life harder, and that's more understanding/application of his skill set rather than him doing something magical. Too often I seem him running around a bit aimlessly and expending energy in non-valuable ways. He's only 18 and maybe that understanding will come, and of course the level is faster than anything he'll ever have played, but understanding the position and his own strengths within it should come pretty early in the piece, and at the moment I just don't see him getting the most out of the physical strengths he clearly has. Just basic stuff like 'get your body between the man and the ball', 'block off the passing lanes between players with your pace to intercept', 'backing into the defender', or 'pulling off onto the weaker defenders and not being easily challenged by the stronger ones'. These are all easy things to do if a player has been taught the game properly and the position they're playing. I don't see enough ""football intelligence"" from Mubama currently."
