School holiday spent at my parents caravan at Manston. Dreamland Margate and Pleasurama Ramsgate. Hooked up with some skinheads and a couple of girls from New Addington got a shag and sniffed some glue.

Greatest fighting juice ever... you would not feel the bruising till 48 hours after... it was like the early 80's version of Fentanyl !!

I was 16 and just finished my exams. Left school and never went back. Wish I knew then what I know now.

"Our school never had a 6th form, so I was at college/a snooker hall. Jealous of mates who were earning mega-bucks on the YTS."

"Cough, you old Papous, it was nicked by some bloke who lived in Cranham down the same road as my mates girlfriend and he parked it right outside her house. Got it back unscathed then sold it about a year later for £500, doh!"

"I got married on the day we beat Coventry 5-2 at the Boleyn, David Swindlehurst hat trick. It was the first home game I missed since 1971 and it was only my old man who stppped me jumping in a cab, watching the first half and getting back to the church on the Isle of Dogs in time for the 4.30 start of the shindig. Doubly gutting as we split up 4 years later, I should have went to the game and not bothered with the wedding. :-)"

"I was working in Libya and we'd get our flights paid in cash...one of my workmates and I decided to ride our motor bikes down to Malta and leave them there for the summer-our wives would fly out during our 2 weeks off- it was handy because we didn't accrue days in the UK for tax reasons-it was a 1/6th rule - trouble is,Malta's so small ,you've seen it all in 2 days! It was great riding down there and back though"
