Looks like Pacqueta is off

"And who can blame him. Only rumours at present, but they're pretty consistent, coming from a number of sources. It should also mean the end of Moyes, which is some consolation of losing such a talent. If true, and I'm sure it is, we need to replace Moyes now, not at the end of the season, so a new manager can start planning the rebuild we so desperately need, with such an aged and uninspiring squad. Come on, Mr Potter, you know you want to!"

"85m is good money for him. Hes guilty of giving the ball away constantly. Of course he is technically an excellent player but he's not in the same class as the worlds best. I'd take the money and invest in some players who want to play for us, that dont give away the ball and fall over at the slightest touch. I'm sure opinion of him has mainly changed as we are losing games without him. Personally I'm not sure the play or results would be much better. Sell before he becomes the next Anderson."

"the exile I would say that, while we are not privy to the terms of the clause, we can safely assume the 85m pound number is a baseline minimum for any transfer negotiations to start. I can't believe they would be that stupid as to make it an automatic release once anybody rocks up with the cash."

No £85m is what we’d get for him from whichever club he goes to. Once we they bid £85m he’s free to discuss terms with whoever.

"Oh well, if there's a bidding war we could end up with a fee something north of £100m. Is that right? Or if he only wants to go to City would we have to accept the £85m? Either way, we'll never hold onto players with this much talent until we have a manager who can really build something."

Whether Man City buy him or not he's still off. Fuck me we stupidly put an £85m buy out on him and when you see some of the numbers thrown about there's more clubs will be in for him

"""some of the worst fans in the world"" what, the same fans that filled a 60,000+ shithole after 43 years without a trophy? yes, the worst fans ever"

Can’t blame him we have some of the worst fans in the world. I know I wouldn’t stick around either.

"Someone could take this club, do half a year’s research and write a cracking study on how capitalism in the 21st Century can go horribly wrong. Reckon it might even find a publisher. Oh hold on…"

"Kaiser Zoso 11:31 Sat Feb 17 You are of course right. My point still still stands though. Whether solicitor or accountant, you probably don't deserve to walk away from West Ham as a lifetime president, keep your seats and trouser thirty million quid. I'd say 'dark days' if they were over, but of course they aren't if you look at the box behind the executive seats and see the 'businessmen' sitting in it."

"North Bank 11:06 Fri Feb 16 Terry Brown WAS a big West Ham fan who started as the club's solicitor, had a caravan park to his name and when he walked (as a lifetime director and multi millionaire BECAUSE of West Ham) he'd given zero value to the club but walked away thirty million quid richer by selling his shares to the Icelandics. I'm not saying that being a fan makes you a better human being ( look at the cash that Arsenal supporting Redknapp milked) but SURELY there's someone at the club with claret and blue running through their blood, someone who will actually feed the cow as well as milking it? On all other points I completely agree with you."

Even his initials spell out DM! The clue was always there staring everyone in the face whenever he dons his tracksuit.

The thought of Paqueta off and Moyes staying is SO fucking depressing. He'll replace him with another DM tp reinforce his 'defence first' model.

"chim I'm not sure that being a West Ham fan as an owner or running the club is relevant, look at Terry Brown, a massive West Ham fan and arguably the most inept Chairman we've ever had and a masive cսnt to boot aided and abetted by anoher bumbling fool, Peter Jackanory Storrie As long as they immerse themself in the passion & meaning of the Club and do their best for it, that's surely all that counts."

My only hope is that a huge FFP storm will be unleashed on City at or before the end of the season. There have been rumours. They certainly deserve it and it would presumably include a buying ban.

We can but hope it’s dawning on Sullivan and his enabler Brady that Paqueta’s departure would open the floodgates and they risk getting swept away in the ensuing shit tsunami. I think Brady will turn against Moyes if she hasn’t already.

Arsenal want Kudus apparently. If we lose both which looks quite likely it will be hard to take and a huge loss.

Definitely don't blame him. Bet he can't wait to get away now having seen how Moyes always expects his Team to play. Enjoy him whilst it lasts.

"I totally agree with you Willtell. We desperately needed reinforcements this January but rather than go out there and get them we signed a player in probably the only position in the squad where we had sufficient cover and then sold two of our more attack minded players. Regardless of whatever your personal opinions are/were on Fornals and Benrahma to shift them without bringing in replacements when Antonio is still injured, Pacqueta is still injured is just brain dead and beggars belief."

I don't blame pacqueta for wanting out . If true. a dwarf with no ambition as an owner. A manager who's got the biggest case of PTSD the games ever seen. He's literally terrified of every side we play. And a captain that cannot run . I'd laugh if I didn't want to cry over it .
