"Really sad to hear that actually. Seemed like a lovely bloke and they were always great entertainment on the TV whatever they were appearing on. You can tell they were proper best mates. Bit shocked as he seemed on the mend, but I guess maybe they knew more than they were revealing, and the current season was a last hurrah."

"RIP Dave, seemed a genuinely nice bloke who could not offend anybody. The hairy bikers was a bit contrived but worked well, mainly because they were clearly such good mates. The BBC obituary was actually very good. A bit like the two old dears, Clarissa and wasshername, I liked those two as well."

"That is such a shame as Si and Dave are top blokes. Dave appeared to be genuinely lovely man. Hairy Bikers' great curries is one my go to books, especially their Jalfrezi which works perfectly and is delicious. The mention of vaccinatons did make think but not in the way the pathetic author might imagine."

"Someone’s managed to post an ant-vax and anti-BBC comment in a thread about a dead hairy biker. What a world we live in today. Anyway, RIP. I like(d) them both. Got a few of their books and a saucepan."

The bloke had cancer but guess that wont stop the anti vax nutters Believe there has been a death spike in Gaza as well .... COVID VACCINATIONS? He was the smaller of the two. Was watching the series on now where they go down the west coast and he'd lost a lot of weight but was going through rehab so that he could regain his balance and get back on his motorbike. Presumed he was cancer free now so a bit of a shock Both seemed genuine every day blokes who loved what they did

"Great shame - a lovely fella and only 66. A BBC lackey, so no doubt he'd had all his jabs and boosters... Me and Mrs CHL have attended THREE funerals in the last five weeks... ages 70, 62 and 56... Food for thought, eh..? Prior to that, the last one was her 92 year old grandfather, almost five years ago. It might just be coincidence, but surely even the least observant must be wondering wtf is going on post-Covid..."
