"Apparently in danger of a points deduction due to financial issues. Really has gone wrong there in recent years, ever since Moyes left they haven't been the same club."

"Seems Man City's 'discrimination' is not being allowed to have money from their owners diverted through his MATES as fake sponsorship Basically admitting the charges against them Understand there are only about 10 charges and the rest of the 115 are non cooperation , giving false information etc"

"The bloke hoovers up football clubs for fun: Textor is the majority owner and chairman of Eagle Football Holdings Limited, the leading shareholder of professional football clubs Botafogo, Crystal Palace F.C., Olympique Lyonnais, Olympique Lyonnais F?©minin, Seattle Reign FC, and RWD Molenbeek."

"Fauxstralian 9:17 Sun Jun 2 Yeah, it does seem odd. He's no stranger to relegation as his Belgian team were relegated this past season... and he owns Lyon so would've been aware that it looked difficult for them for a while last year. Taking on Everton's debts and P&S complications looks like a bonkers idea. I dont know anything about how they're funding the new stadium or what's happening to the land Goodison stands on though"

"not Everton related, but Manchester City are now suing the PL for 'discrimination'. absolutely nothing to do with the hearing about to start which could see them expelled from the PL."

The Palace co owner is a bloke called John Textor who has 45% but has been frustrated in attempts to get control Jumping into the Everton shit show sounds a bit bonkers though Might be one of these Americans who don’t understand what relegation is

"""There was something about one of the Crystal Palace owners expressing an interest in selling up & looking at Everton "". Absolute madness. He'd be far better off growing Palace into a regular top 10 side and occasional European contenders."

I remember a few years ago . Everton doing a protest about going 26 years without a major trophy and plenty walked out on the 26th minute. During it . We went 43 years . Barcodes are 55 and counting . Leeds 32 years and Sunderland 51 years ..it made them look properly entitled. Everton are a great club but in the last 30 odd years no club has been luckier in avoiding relegation .

Understood at some point 777 wanted or would be asked to turn that £200m loan into equity Obviously if the takeover has fallen over they will want the £200m back Unless a new owner comes in with funds or they can refinance that they are fucked (FUCKED) There was something about one of the Crystal Palace owners expressing an interest in selling up & looking at Everton

Dunno if entitled is the right word. Everton fans are the most negative and miserable fans in the country.

I read today 777 had even given (Loaned?) Everton £200M and still don't get a look in. Everton do seem royally fucked right now with money troubles. That Moshiris made a right pigs ear of it all.

Sydney - they are desperate to sell the club. 777 were loaning them more & more money every month to keep them afloat. Without any new investment (or selling players) they’ll be in administration by July.

"Owners say they don't need to sell, Dyche says players will leave. Who's telling the truth? Also, what now happens to the 'loans' 777 already paid them? I imagine they were loaned with the expectation they would eventually be written off somehow once 777 took over, but now they'll need to be paid back with interest? They look fucked to me..... Also with them and Leicester staring down the barrel of big points deduction in reality we may only have 1 relegation spot next season?"

Branthwaite and Pickford are just about the only 2 I'd really want from there.

"777 have lent Everton £200m as this process was going on Presume they will want the money back quick smart to deal with other debts if the takeover isn’t happening Understand Everton have to sell someone , probably Brathwaite by June 30 to avoid another FFP penalty Should have been 10pts for their first offence & 20 for the second."

777 takeover has fallen through. Hopefully a big points deduction and selling their best players. https://www.nytimes.com/athletic/5533622/2024/06/01/evertons-777-takeover-what-happens-next/

"Zeb - his record at Chelsea was really not good at all, certainly not for a team that should have been challenging for the title. Lost 23 of the 84 games he managed them for. How did Everton not look at that and think twice before appointing him. The mind boggles."

"They could def go down, especially if Watford and Burnley fight, and with two wiley managers like Woy and ginger they most likely will. Couple that with Lampard not being the right man for a fight like this, and a tough run in, they are bang in trouble. Best case is they stay up by a very small margin."

"Even though I don't share the hatred of many on here of Lampard, I'm at a loss to see why he was given the job. In fact, any of his managerial roles. Being a great player doesn't necessarily make you a good manager. If anything, the best managers had mediocre careers as footballers. It's a completely different mindset."
