"As the Premier League races towards its final straight, just two issues of note remain to be resolved. One, Arsenal or Man City and, two, Luton or Forest (with apologies to Burnley, but it’s all academic now). Burnley started the season with high expectations, having romped to the Championship title the previous year. How strong are the parallels with this year’s Leicester? Or indeed Ipswich, who are current flavour of the month. We’ll find out soon enough. Both Forest and Luton have winnable games on the final day (Burnley A, and Fulham H respectively) so they’d better make the most of today. Will the J-Lo news and the Moyes farewell, agonisingly tearful no doubt, create enough of a bump to bring last day dread to the Hatters? At the top, things are rather more straightforward. Man City are the best side in the country and will win the title. Sorry, Mikel. Then there are the Championship play offs. Leeds and Southampton look far and away the favourites to do battle at Wembley in a couple of weeks. The outcome of that is less easy to predict. FULHAM vs MANCHESTER CITY (1230) Away win. BOURNEMOUTH vs BRENTFORD (1500) Home win. EVERTON vs SHEFFIELD UNITED (1500) Home win. NEWCASTLE UNITED vs BRIGHTON & HOVE ALBION (1500) Home win. TOTTENHAM HOTSPUR vs BURNLEY (1500) Home win. WEST HAM UNITED vs LUTON TOWN (1500) Draw. WOLVERHAMPTON WANDERERS vs CRYSTAL PALACE (1500) Away win. NOTTINGHAM FOREST vs CHELSEA (1730) Draw. *SUNDAY* MANCHESTER UNITED vs ARSENAL (1630) Away win. CHAMPIONSHIP PLAY OFFS: NORWICH CITY vs LEEDS UNITED (1200) Away win. WEST BROMWICH ALIBION vs SOUTHAMPTON (1415) Draw. *MONDAY* ASTON VILLA vs LIVERPOOL (2000) Away win. *TUESDAY* TOTTENHAM HOTSPUR vs MANCHESTER CITY (2000) Away win. *WEDNESDAY* BRIGHTON & HOVE ALIBION vs CHELSEA (1945) Draw. MANCHESTER UNITED vs NEWCASTLE UNITED (2000) Draw. *THURSDAY* CHAMPIONSHIP PLAY OFF: LEEDS UNITED vs NORWICH CITY (2000) Home win. *FRIDAY* CHAMPIONSHIP PLAY OFF: SOUTHAMPTON vs WEST BROMWICH ALBION (2000) Home win."

"Billy - Spurs can still get top 4 if they win tonight, Villa go to Palace on Sunday who are beating everyone right now. Spurs are at Sheff Utd. That said, I don't see it (Spurs winning tonight)."

Just does enough to keep Spurs interested for tonight. I wouldn't mind seeing a draw then try to see City put 7/8 past us on Sunday :-)

Would be hilarious if tottenham won a game they'd rather lose and practically hand the title to arsenal.

"I suspect that the Spurs/City game will be the most cagey/intense game ever played in the PL - could get nasty with more cards than Christmas. After a flurry of early bookings/dismissals, I expect City to win."

Villa look beaten here & go to in form Palace on Sunday Don’t win there & means Tottenham need to win both to get 4th Will have to turn up v City & hand Arsenal the title

Fuck me Martinez has made just about as big a howler as you’re likely to see. Basically chucked a cross into his own net. Classic Liverpool luck. Be funny if it wasn’t against them.

"Garnacho is a strange one, sometimes looks top class but yesterday was giving the ball away at will and making some terrible decisions, same as Antony. What a shit show they are. Miles behind the top sides and a joke manager."

Thank you Coffee - I always enjoy this thread. No point me making predictions as I clearly know nothing about football having followed WHU for nigh on 60 years…
