I disapprove of it... but did it once in my youth - Was with the girlfriend in Paris and had heard about a restaurant that was definitely well out of our price range but the food was supposed to be exceptional. I was warned though that the waiters were famously grumpy. We counted our cash out and thought we could just about afford it on our final night. The food was exceptional as promised but the waiters were the rudest I have ever come across by some distance before or since. I asked for the bill several times. Eventually a saucer was thrown on to our table with a bill. It wasn't our bill and had not only been paid but came with a lot of change too. I trousered the change and decamped sharpish. I have never felt bad about getting paid to eat there!

Dine and dash is the behaviour of sub-human scum. If you can't afford to eat out then stay in and eat a Pot Noodle rather than rip off a service provider and its staff.

Did a couple back when from a Ghandi or two, they use to chase us down the road brandishing kitchen knives, gave it a few weeks and went back into the same gaff. Me and a couple of mates had a curry on Mile End rd along from Benjis Nightclub obviously pissed but the restaurant stayed open after 2am. Sitting down ordered our food then one mates gets up and says fuck it I’m doing a runner. Me and my other mate looking at each other confused as our starters hadn’t even come out yet. 20 mins later our mate wonders back in just in time for our starters to arrive. Sits down and tucks in.

What is the charge? Eating a meal? A succulent Chinese meal?
