He had a decent run a few weeks back (home games anyway) but it's gone to shit of late. Apparently they love him down there and he's embraced the place 'door always open' happy to talk to people around the city, etc. The pressure actually isn't that great as just staying up would be considered OK. I don't see him being sacked anytime soon and think they will give him time to build his own squad up.

It's been a while since I looked, 3 wins 3 draws and 7 losses put the Pilgrims in 22nd place
Our next manager once he relegates Plymouth

"You on wifi again 67? I like Rooney, a really down to earth bloke considering the career he had, and I hope he does well, could have done without this start though. Must be his last chance at a decent level."

He has not done well. Birmingham was a basket case of a club to start with but he did not cut it in the others either. When he was dismissed by DC United he landed them with Ravel Morrison as one of their highest paid players with one further year left on Morrison's contract and the MLS is salary capped so hurt them even more. Morrison did very well out of that deal.

To be fair Sheffield Wednesday away wouldn’t be your opening day choice but there are plenty of other equally tough teams in that league Last chance saloon surely for Rooney … probably needs to be lining up a pundit job for the new year. Presume the wife hasn’t moved to Plymouth?

Hahaha - what a waster. Wouldn’t be surprised if he ends up on a big money contract in the Saudi league.
