"West Ham v Manchester United - 29th.March 1969 score was 0-0 and it was the day the new west stand and chicken run opened and we were just off the halfway line -upper tier - we went on a coach from Berkshire from my Dad's work - it took ages to get there - I remember the British Legion band ,the old bloke who got the crowd cheering by waving to the North Bank when the teams were coming out and the roast chestnut seller outside the church.Manchester United played in all white - apart from the score ,it was a great first game - all the Man. U first team were out (excluding Charlton) and Moore, Hurst and Peters played -great memories"

"2-2 Norwich home 1995 The wrong Norwich player got sent off for something (their number 14 did something and 16 got sent off I think), the ball went up on the roof of the west stand then came back down about a minute later after play restarted and it genuinely confused the players. Proper old football, hard to describe but felt nothing like today."

comma Rogers was a Swindon ledge. I can still picture him now - Beatles hair and Hitler moustache. Good little player. He went on to score twice when Swindon beat the Arse in the first LC final at Wembley.

"Surf, I was at that Swindon game and they had a left winger called Don Rogers who our defence could not cope with. It was no surprise that we lost the replay."
