Obviously some of the Eric mannerisms are accentuated but yeah there are characters like him, he's certainly not uncommon. The one they really nailed is Rishi's character, he is bang on the money as a trader and I've met and even been him in certain parts of my career in the way he acts. They turn him into a bit of a caricature through season 3 and 4 but he has a great story line that provides one of the best episodes of season 3 but then gets a bit silly.

Kit Harrington's character comes into it in season 3 and 4 and he plays an entitled toff brilliantly, very hard to remember he was the King in the North in Game of Thrones.

Devil In Disguise, the story about John Wayne Gacy is pretty good so far

OK mate. Some interesting characters in it, are there some people like Eric in the real world? That game is not for the faint hearted.

I personally really enjoyed seasons 1 & 2 but then I work in the industry so I liked how accurate they got some of the finer points of trading floor life albeit most of the trades were completely impossible but you have to suspend reality in the name of entertainment so I haven't really got a problem with that.

Season 3 & 4 are much more written with drama and television in mind so I'd guess you'll probably start to enjoy it a bit more from there on. I still think it's probably the best thing on TV at the moment and definitely rivals Succession as a sort of English version. Stick with it mate.
Jim, I will stick with it mate, as I said it's not much to catch up on. At this point it's not going to turn into anything great to make me completely change my mind on it, but like I said it's good enough. You actually have it the wrong way around, I prefer the scenes on the trading floor as opposed to the drama and tv, as you put it.

Not sure I'd compare it to Succession, to be fair.

Enjoyed STEAL on Amazon prime.

Going to start that Australian gangland show, animal kingdom. All 6 seasons were released on Netflix today.

Good series.
Yeah, I was surprised.

Expected a sort of 2nd rate chopper parody but it balanced dark humour with some deep moments.

Best thing to come of Oz since Kylie rode a mechanical bull in her undies.

watched quite a bit of Goliath. as with most of these shows, it started well but i thought the direction started getting very self indulgent as it went on. biggest positives apart from BBT (who's always watchable), the blonde bird playing his lawyer colleague and the dark haired bird with the tits

I'm on season 2 and still not convinced but it's 'good enough' to stick with and will likely get up to date as not to much to catch up on.

You fast forward and miss some things?

MASSIVE disappointment, imho.
It was a bit 'silly' but I still enjoyed it. Third and final series next year apparently.

Episode 6 went out last night. It’s the final episode!
Sorry yeah was 6 I watched and the last.
It was great until the very end which was merely an excuse to set up a third series and, as long as the poeple who appear to be dead really are dead I'lll be cool with that.
More akin to Jerry Westerby blundering about in Asia in the Honourable Schoolboy than the other Le Carre novels.
Hugh Laurie was moustache twiirlingly dastardly. He is extremely good at that.  .
Yeah in the end I felt I was being conned.

Baby Girl is a mess of a show.  Start's well then declines rapidly, and you have to believe that little Alfie Allen is a scary psychopath. Avoid.

Gave Pluribus a go, but found it a little 'slow' (a little like Severance).
Have since returned to it, and to be honest the further you get into it the better it gets.
A really good premise.

Almost got through the series of Say Nothing. Excellent watch, but I have had to activate the subtitles on the telly box.
