Dubois barely used his jab to set anything up, he didn't need to because AJ was so shit, neither were remarkable, had he not beaten AJ to the punch at the end, he'd have been on his arse as well, his defence was just as poor. He's not that great. 30 years ago he'd have been losing to Gary Mason. 

Think you're being a little harsh there, Scum.  It was a very one sided fight in his favour, so he couldn't have been too poor.  Agree about AJ being so shit though!

I think Dubois is a little underrated.  He lost against Usyk after having a knockdown taken away from him, and had to quit against Joyce (who wouldn't after a double fractured eye socket?).  They're his only 2 defeats.

He beat a very good fighter in Hrgovic before this fight.

Dubois was pretty poor, had he fought like that against Bruno for example, he'd have lost, badly. It's just that AJ was so shit, he didn't need to be decent. For a world title fight, knock downs aside, it was of very low quality. 

Dook, You seem to have misread my post. The evening of fights was first class topped off with a splendid by Dubois.

Having listened to what Hearn and his yet again defeated fighter have said it appears to involve building the hapless, but very rich, Joshua into a credible opponent. Are people going to shell out for future fights pairing a fighter with no future against whoever?

Who’s been mugged? A fair exchange isn’t a robbery. There were at least four decent fights, knockouts, Liam Gallagher and a bizarre rendition of Sweet Caroline. What more do you want? As Dubois said, are you not entertained ?

Credit to Dubois but, having watched the “fight” again, the susceptibility of Joshua to any decent connection somewhat detracts from his performance.

Bit like Deontay Wilder who probably still carries a big punch but if he cops a good punch first he’s gone.

Now let’s watch the promoters separate the mugs from their money.

Was not expecting that result but was good viewing.

Joshua has never been able to deal with a big hit. He has little to no recovery. 

Last night reminded me of the first fight against Ruiz. Once he was caught his legs and composure was gone completly.

The only sad thing about it is that Joshua wasn't smashed up to the point he needs a wheelchair for the rest of his life. Let's hope he fights again for the chance to make that a reality. 

Joshuas punch resistance has gone  while his chin was never great it wasn't remotely as bad as it is now . Well done DD .

Agreed, rematch looks pointless to me. Got battered from beginning to end and what little punch resistance he had looks completely gone

I do give him credit for always being up for fighting anyone. I just think that he has been unbelievably lucky that the British fans have got so much behind him, given his limited ability, he seemed to forget that a few years ago.

Anyway, that last night is about as comprehensive as it gets. It weren't like the Ruiz defeat, where he got clipped on the top of the head but was winning the fight, he looked shocking even before that first Dubois big right hand, got properly bashed up, and given the stage he's at, I can't see him fully recovering. I'd expect the same again in a rematch.

He's limited and made more money than his abilities warrant but can't share the hatred for Joshua. He's fought everyone except Wilder(It's pretty clear now that it was wilder dodging that) unlike others in the division. After his last two wins against Wallin (who rearranged furys face) and Ngannou (who knocked down and probably beat fury) he didn't need to take this fight which was always dangerous but he did, so fair play for that. 

As others have said, the heavyweight division has been good entertainment because none of them are actually any good. Dubois does look like he's improved since embarrassing himself against Joyce, so maybe could do something,  but wouldn't be at all surprised if he also got comprehensively beaten by the smallish cruiserweight who is the best heavyweight in the world. 

Would love to have seen Hearn's face as his boy was being pummeled all over the shop. As per usual he will be bumming him up as the next great big deal that needs a rematch

Just watched the highlights. On one of those knockdowns Joshua did a breakdancing move that was last seen in the Olympics.

The Klitschko win he lives off really, but he was 40 and still should've won it, a few years prior he would've done when he had Joshua rattled.

Joshua has had good wins against Klitchko and Whyte, but there were always doubts about his pedigree. The heavyweight division has been weak, but also very competitive so it’s been good for entertainment.

Joshua has to be the luckiest boxer to ever walk the planet. Such limited ability, just pure timing and match making has made him incredible dough that does not tally up with his ability.

Even before the 1st round knockdown, he was getting peppered. I said on here many moons ago that I thought Dubois would be a world champion (Griffin will remember) but after the Joyce fight, that looked a bad call. Just shows you how important a coach is, because Don Charles has transformed Dubois, more mindset than anything else. Good luck to the lad.

Good performance from Dubois, took the initiative from the start and effectively put paid to Joshua’s career with an emphatic knock out.
