Might not have always been the best politician but was never one to back down from a fight, in more ways than one. As well as giving that twat who chucked an egg at him a well deserved clump, remember him going on Top Gear and having a good old verbal battle with Jeremy Clarkson when he knew the audience wouldn't be on his side. R.I.P.

A proper old school politician, said what he really thought not what the spin doctors told him to say, and he had a proper job before going into politics so he understood what life was like for normal people.

Those were the days when the Labour Party had talented Social Democratic pragmatists as polititians. Look at the party now. What a bunch of utter cunts! There's Two tier,Free Gear Is he Queer? Sir Kier. A half witted foreign secretary, a northern slapper, Reeves, people sceaming out for repartions for people who have never been slaves. and muslim infiltrators aiming for an islamic state. and they've got a massive majority.

I liked him proper old school politician. Unlike 99 % of the careerists around today . Also opened the centenary stand at Upton park if I remember correctly.

If Farage had given the milkshake-thrower a clump to demonstrate the same principle as Prescott, it would have revolutionised my estimation of Farage.
Let’s call it the Prescott Principle, which I suggest goes: “I don’t give a fuck if you feel strongly about it - if you behave like a cսnt, I’m going to treat you like one” It’s a GOOD principle and I’m not just saying it for the sake of it.
