Let's play a game, who would you bring out of retirement?

So you can bring any West Ham player out of retirement and add them to our first XI, they will be in their pomp.
Who would you bring back?
I have picked Bonds only because I think he would drive us forward and be a real leader, stick him in midfield instead of Alvarez.
Just a bit of fun during these gloomy times.

Based only on players I've seen live and what we need most now I'd say Bonds or Scott Parker. I know others have said same below. We need a proper leader in the middle of the pitch.
Maybe Alvin Martin or Bilic (I know he wasn't with us long but he was outstanding as a player) if we're going for CBs.

The old git who used to play the bugle on the South Bank. Guaranteed to get a tune out of him.

Of course he wouldn't. He's fucking dead

Ron Greenwood, think the current players are good enough just want a decent manager that can get them organised.

My choice would have to be brought back from beyond retirement! So assuming that's allowed I would go for Andy Malcolm. Now I expect many will be saying, who?
Andy Malcolm was the first recipient of the Hammer of the Year Award back in 1958. My first West Ham hero.
An ever-present in the year we won promotion to Division One and the following year when we finished 6th in Division One. The toughest player in the side then and I would argue, perhaps the exception of Bonds, never since matched in a West Ham shirt. A defensive midfielder (wing-half back then) his tackling skills were exceptional and fair (well at least by the rules of the day). What I particularly loved about him was that his calm demeanour never changed when dishing it out or getting it back. Of course, the game was slower then but assuming he could adapt to the modern game our shakey defending would receive the biggest boost imaginable from just sticking him just in front of them.

I am blessed to have seen him play

Forget about retired players I'd have Scammacca, Fornals, Haller, Ward-Prowse (I know on loan) , Dawson and Benrahma back. Better than this shite we have currently.

Scott Parker
Leader of men
In my lifetime, he is who I’d pick.
I never got the love for Scott Parker
or how to quote on here
Scott Parker in my lifetime is one of our best ever players. If he started in the 2010 World Cup over Barry England would have done so much better

Good question, during Moore’s time for me the best partnership he had was with an ageing Ken Brown. Over the time I have supported the club I think the best theoretical centre back partnership has to be Moore and Alvin Martin. Martin is an ex player who does not get the praise he deserves imho. For me we have not had a centre back in the EPL era who could match Stretch.

Not disrespecting Bowen because he is a great player but, this team needs a proper leader and that is Billy Bonds

I'd bring Paqueta back, but aside from that Paul BRUSH. A very underrated left back.
