Bowen

Is it time for him to cement the position up top for us?

It seemed to work well once he was moved up as Striker with Kudus in his more familiar wide right position, typified straight away in the goal that was scored.

With Summerville flying down the left, the front 3 looked balanced and a constant threat.

I'd give it another go against Southampton to see if they can continue on from the 2nd half attacking like that.

If only a contract meant fuck all if a player has it in their head they want out.

That said I think he’s very happy here and I doubt his in laws would want him to leave either. I’d be worried if Salah left Liverpool as that would be a possible destination where he’d slot (haha) straight in.

Villa or Newcastle would be a good fit for him.
Good points well made

what would be the point in going to Villa or Newcastle, hardly a step up.

Maybe City as part of their rebuild.

Don’t rule out a Real Madrid or Bayern Munich coming in for him similar to Kane, I believe he is that good!

I suppose I wouldn’t mind him at West Ham, but would prefer Porro, he could do a job for us.

Hopefully, just fear the worst with Bowen as he is one of our very few players that could go 3 or4 steps up.

Was thinking yesterday that Kulusevski is wasting his time and would be a good signing for a bigger team
Had always wondered why Son never got any transfer speculation but have realised he is lacking when it really matters

thats for you Lady(boy)smith
Bowen is going nowhere
Kudus … expect in the summer he will be off
At a point where our 3 strikers Fullkrug, Ings & Antonio will receive a joint telegram from the King as their joint age reaches 100

His 7 year deal says otherwise.

At 18m quid, you would have to put him
among our best ever signings. Prefer him on the right but see the merits of him up front.

As for Kudus definitely going in January, I'm not so sure. No one will stump up the money he's worth and I want to see how the rest of the season goes with him still here.

As well as it instantly working once Fullkrug went off and us scoring, another time we played well with 3 Forwards playing together was at Newcastle. Now it wasn't Bowen up top, it was Antonio. However, it's worth remembering that Antonio used to be a regular wide Forward himself that ended up staying as a Striker once making the move. We had Summerville again flying down the left causing Newcastle problems and Bowen on the right. Kudus wasn't available on the day but the right is his natural best position.

Kudus - Bowen - Summeville to me just looks right and full of havoc if given a run of games together playing up front. Brighton didn't look comfortable at all when the 3 of them ran towards them with the ball.

Fullkrug is our number one striker and he actually is a striker.

as Miike says, there are too many ‘independent’ whispers for us not to think Kudus is on his way and that will be because Bowen right, Summerville left, Fullkrug striker makes sense but it does leave us very light if any one of them is out with only really Ings as another striker and no natural wide attackers or inside forwards in the case of injury/suspension.

Even if Kudus stays I wouldn’t have Bowen in the middle, ever. I’d have Alvarez protecting the defensive line with both Paqueta and Kudus in the middle being allowed to run with the ball or attempt a killer pass without leaving us too exposed. Both Paqueta and Kudus are willing to put a tackle in and track back and they’re a LOT faster than all the other so called central defensive midfield experts we have or have bought in.

The only way those three work in the middle is to have Bowen right, Summerville left and a proper striker in the middle - Fullkrug getting the nod over Ings.

And I only say that about Kudus because certain channels on YT keep going over it, again and again and again. Channels that pretend to be independent, but no doubt push narratives for that little cսnt

His strike rate is better based on just Goals scored or Goals and Assists combined. And there could be an argument it could get better still now being more experienced. It's something I've wondered about in the past whether we've been sitting on a quality Striker all this time, or whether we need to still buy one.

Bowen has lightening pace to burn, can press very well from the front putting defenders under serious pressure, strong enough to battle for the ball. Not the best in the air but I don't think it matters when he has other qualities as a Striker to rely on instead.

As well as on Saturday, I think it was the Bournemouth game in the Cup we put Bowen up top in Fullkrugs place going off for Kudus and a few minutes later he scores again, the winner this time.

Put it another way, I know who I'd trust more up top out of him and Fullkrug in the Premier League.
