We have nothing to play for for the rest of the season so now with the transfer window open, we should be looking to prepare for next season. 

We should either bring in 2-3 decent premier League proven players on loan with the option to buy at the end of the season or give more of the youth players a chance and see what they can do.

Realistically who would you like to see come to us or given the chance from the youth team?

As mentioned on a couple of other threads, we must not underestimate “The Sullivan Effect”. Another 10 years of our “leader” ( coughs) creating havoc and singlehandedly ensuring we never progress or learn.

Sullivan wants us to be successful, thats not the issue but it all comes down to him wanting to be seen as the person who made it happen. But his lack of self awareness and inability psychologically to recignise his limitations means progress is impossible.  He is the barrier to progress.  We may as well write off the next 10 years or more until he “meets his maker” ( little red fella with horns ? ) and then we get “The Jack Sullivan Effect”.

32/33 pts should be enough to stay up.  We'll do that comfortably.

Use the rest of the season bringing through youngsters.

Time to prepare for next season? We haven't got enough points to avoid relegation yet. That is the first and foremost objective before we even think about preparing for next season. Another 12 points on the board then we can start looking to next season, not just over halfway in to this season.

We are looking to bring players in this month, youth players have been getting a chance, so what the fuck you rambling on about? I suspect you mean start from scratch and be prepared to write games off in 'preparation' for next season. It really doesn't work like that in the real world. Go back to your football manager.

We need to just see the season out and write it off. No chance of relegation with dross like Leicester, Saints, Ipswich and Spurs below us and then rebuild over the summer. You can tell that Potter isn’t impressed with what he’s inherited and knows big changes are needed.

Need to target the likes of Angel Gomes, other quality centre mids, and a quality striker like Duran, David or Delap. Maybe sell Kudus to generate extra funds. Need a decent keeper too.

I couldn’t believe what I was reading.

Have to agree with COYI, we are in a relegation battle and premiership survival is at stake.

Where I do think the OP does have a point is that we need a few quality players especially as Bowen is likely to be off in the summer.

It would just get passed down to his awful children.

the two players from Lille would be great signings, but they're not going anywhere while Lille are challenging for a CL spot and Sullivan's dithering will let other clubs get them before us. I'd bring Kodua & Marshall back if possible, they're used to playing in this type of system and we already have more than enough DM/CMs. we could then move Kudus inside behind a striker. loaning a forward would be a priority, but not Wilson. we can't afford another injury prone player

TBH I’m thinking with GP giving basically everyone a go in the last three games if he’s just trying to evaluate as many of them as he can right now in order to try and shape any urgently needed transfers that could possibly be pushed through this month, or indeed players we can let go, and also get a real head start on summer business.
