Brand's been stitched up with very debious claims that dated back around the turn of the century. He doesn't help his cause with the persona he's played on for most of his adult life but I don't think he's raped anyone. Could be wrong though.

I watched the BBC's adaptation of Wolf Hall. At one point a young Thomas Cromwell badly burns his hand, working at his abusive father's forge. His father hisses at him "Do this!"
