It's not true that some mushrooms are inedible. All mushrooms can be eaten. It's just that some mushrooms can only be eaten once.

She was upset by this apparently so he was lined up as well
She was going to tell all the family she had cancer … which was not true

Maybe they were double checking the exact recipe to make sure they got the right amount of ingredients measured for the next time their other halves piss them off? 

Jury took six days to deliberate. SIX DAYS! Were they being paid by the hour or something??

I think the husband did have some of the shit she served up, but luckily survived it after going to hospital first with a severe bout of delhi-belly I'm sure.
