Hi Everyone,
Just to let you know that our Sports Club will be hosting a pre match fan zone for West Ham fans on Friday 24th October.
Just 5 minutes off the M1 and 30 minutes away from Elland Road.
We will have two bars open with a range of wine, beers  and spirits. Tea coffee and soft drinks also available. We’ll also have can bars to help you beat the queue, and a hot food station serving a range of pre match food.
To get you into the pre match spirit we will have Sky Sports/ Big screens and West Ham playlists on. Perfect for a pre match singalong.
Children welcome.
Strict Challenge 25/ no drugs policy on site. Please bring ID if you’re lucky enough to have a youthful face!

It’s notoriously difficult to find a place for groups of fans to drink once you get into West Yorkshire/ Leeds due to Police escorts etc, so and join us at Shaw Lane Sports Club for a warm Barnsley welcome.
Free parking for minibuses/ coaches.
Postcode is S70 6HZ www.shawlane.com
Booking is essential so that we can staff the bars accordingly and so we can give group organisers the barrier security code. To book e mail [email protected]

Yes - the actor who played him - Dai Bradley - was there at the launch of the new flag.

Would sooner be gang raped by the locals in Rotherham than take a detour to Barnsley.

Agreed - but they’re not going to give bus loads of West Ham fans a warm welcome like we will in Barnsley. 😇

Dickie. Bird is a regular at the club - as we are host to Barnsley Cricket Club. Darren Gough is a Barnsley lad but you’re more likely to see him in London. 🙄
Parky went to the Grammar School next to the site (now knocked down). See, you can get a history lesson in our Sports museum also on site. 👍

Good one mate. Most of us don't drink anymore. We have embraced diversity to reflect our local area and give 60% of our away tickets to foreign tourists so our away support properly represents West Ham London. You'll recognise us as we get off the bus, a proper rainbow of nations and we'll be sporting the shirts of every football league from around the world. Stock up on Appletizer and San Pellegrino as we all get in the spirit.

Folk fro' Bahnsley showing David Sullivan how to respect supporters?

Not having it! Not even at foot'f our stairs.🤗

Good initiative though - just hope Leeds "fans" don't try an ambush.

Cheers for the tip, Shaw.

Can you confirm you won’t pollute your food and drink if you host southerners? I know northerners think we’re all flash handsome cunts, which is true, but a guarantee would be nice.

Don’t knock it til you’ve tried it. 😀
In defence of our town, it is a top place to eat and drink these days. Maybe less so in says gone by. We haven’t had the pleasure of West ham visits for a long time but believe me next time you’re here you’ll be surprised. 👍

Bad enough that we’re having to travel to Leeds, let alone stopping off at fucking Barnsley on the way 😂
