£10,000 fine with a further £10,000 suspended until the end of the season
Slap on the wrist with a wet fish
Still say Villa should have declined the rematch over Manny O appearing for minutes to no effect

To be honest I think the said player was a Manure spy, although he was registered 2 minutes late, when it came to the penalty shootout he was the only Grimsby player to actually miss, in mitigation Grimsby did flag this error up to the league themselves.

Had this been a quarter-final like ours dare i say the outcome would be much different.

Would have had more respect for Villa as said if they’d declined the chance to play again as they’d been beaten fair & square
CUNTS
Of course in true West Ham style we lost the rematch

Manny had previously played for Gillingham while on loan so was cup tied. All the others seem to be about getting international clearance. Grimsby registered the player 2 minutes late.
I still think our punishment was disproportionate mind. He only came on for a few minutes and made no difference to the outcome.

Don't know the ins and outs but what's different about Mannygate to this exactly?

In October 2019 Liverpool were fined £200,000, of which £100,000 was suspended, for fielding Pedro Chirivella in an EFL Cup third-round win against MK Dons.Chirivella did not have international clearance to play in the competition, but the EFL said it "wasn't appropriate" to remove Liverpool because of "mitigating factors".
Hmmm, I wonder why the Scousers weren't lobbed out?
Answers on a postcard please?

The Manny O incident was heart breaking.

What we did was quite a lot worse than what they did, to be fair.
The list of others that have broken the rules (at the bottom of
this BBC article) is interesting though - particularly the Sunderland one, which I don't remember.
