Thought a thread to organise within the context of WHO, who's going, anyone that wanted to get slurps before and after etc might be worth doing.

I'll confirm the logistics of things and post them up as well.

Fair play. All things aside, how full really was it? It looked like a large concentraton of people around the halfway line in the East lower, then far more sparse as you went outward from that.

It was difficult to say, but I thought probably somewhere near to 45,000- 50,000. Around where I sit in the Upper West stand it was only the odd seat here and there that was unoccupied . However, a good number of regulars seemed to have sold their seats back. I believe they were available for about £16. And from my view the East stand was fuller than pictures circulating today appeared to suggest. I think they might have been taken closer to halftime.

Cannot get my head round people who were boycotting listing their ticket for sale.... Talk about defeating the object just to pop 20 quid or so back in your pocket. If they were available for 16 quid it means the club actually purposely took a loss on all the seats just to try and fill the ground up.

It didn't really make much sense boycotting if those who boycott just sat indoors as though they couldn't be bothered to attend because it was a Monday night in October.

People should've boycotted but still congregated outside the stadium to make their presence known.

I would imagine Sky would've had a camera out there showing the gathering.

It's interesting that tongue-in-cheek reference to the miners strike touched a few nerves. Seems some West Ham fans are living up to the reputation that Essex man already has of being Thatcherite.

I can see many reasons why someone would have gone along last night as I said in that same post. It could have been me. So I get the point about name calling.

But just turning up because you fancied going when you know very well there is a coordinated effort among your peers to boycott the game to change things for the better is poor. I am not saying that's what you did as you never gave your reason, but for those for whom that was the reason, which I suspect there were many, all I can say is we get the club we deserve.

Did it definitely sell out, though or did they just activate ticket exchange because it was in their interests to do so? They certainly pulled out all the other stops to try and get as many people in as possible so it wouldn't surprise me.

I got a text message from West Ham 12 days ago encouraging me to relist on Ticket Exchange early, and they were a long way from selling out at that point. I don't think I've ever had that text before.

Looked very much like people had converged on any empty seats in the expensive section in the East stand, as of course they would do I guess. It was a lot fuller there than out toward either goal. Not sure they showed the upper tier at all, which is a shame.

A lot of people of course wouldn't even have been aware of the boycott, which is a pity. You probably only are if you're active on non club run forums or social media. They'd likely have just seen loads of cheap seats on offer for a game and decided to go.
