Fall From Grace

Read this piece earlier, and it shows how far we have fallen in the space of just three years or so.
However, I'm positive that with Nuno at the helm, we can recover and finish respectably this season - then who knows, maybe he can guide us to Europe just like Forest.
What do you think?

With Sullivan anytime is still possible. Hopefully Nuno can give us a few enjoyable seasons before Sullivan fucks it up somehow.

will have a read later, but people need to stop using the term 'we' for any decline. it's 'them' that hung on to moyes for two seasons too long, that did a sales pitch for our best player on live radio less than twenty four hours after winning a trophy, that employed two absolute disaster managers as replacements in less than a year, and have pled poverty since, despite football finance experts saying our finances are fine. 'them', not 'we'
Two seasons too long lol ....that includes winning a trophy for first time in 43 years
You need to get out a bit more.....ohhh l forget you're a hermit

Between both Sky and Abramovich money coming in when they did, it totally ruined and distorted the game here for the worse. Everyone trying to chase after the next pound note to just keep afloat rather than concentrate on what's important. We ended up getting caught up in all of it and are now in the position we currently find ourselves in.
The likes of Leciester (2 Cups and Champions League football), Palace, Wigan, Swansea, Birmingham proved you can still win things in the modern era with modest sized purpose built Football Grounds blowing the myth out of the water that we MUST move to win and compete.
Even the likes of Bournemouth with a Ground around 10,000 can get in the top 10 and compete well, or Forest last season pushing hard for a Champions League spot, or Palace, Sunderland and Bournemouth this season doing well because they are being run properly.

I think most teams will feel they have lost something really important In the last 30 years.
As far as West Ham are concerned it really won't change much until MEGA BUCKS comes in and we'll feel even more distanced over time.

Not read it as I’m half cut and chaperoning several Canadian women and my wife around the streets of Liverpool.
Anyway, what West Ham is to me, much like Bubbles, is the support. Without it were generic and what’s really hurt the fanbase is the people that have rightly walked away after being taken the piss out of for so long under the midget.
I wasn’t fortunate enough to be born into a West Ham family despite being from Mile End, but if you have offspring, it should be the right thing to pass it down. Despite the bollocks that comes with West Ham, it’s special and the support was too. Come home and help us kick the midget out.

Reads like it was composed by a youngster desperate to break into sports journalism.
This is why I asked, especially seeing it's this poster's first ever post to boot.
