Canadian Premier League final currently in extra time.
Edit: Waiting for extra time, they are clearing the pitch.
West Ham connection - Levi Laing who spent time with our u18/21s is on the Cavalry - the side in green.

Fair play to the Referee in a short sleeved shirt!
Were any of you at this game back in 85/86? The days of the orange ball!!
I was at that game with some schoolmates and a couple of their older brothers (who drove). We were determined to go, and ended up almost stranded in Ipswich overnight. Made our way home at snail's pace in freezing temperatures.
We knew it anyway, but you saw the real technical quality of Lyall's Boys of 86 side in that match. Frankie Mac was on fire, and his touch and balance in the snow was unbelievable. Others, too. They were so good when they upped their tempo. For all of the stories about Frankie's off-field lifestyle, the guy could play.
Why the feck did we play in white that night?! You couldn't see our players down the other end of the pitch.

Blimey that is proper snow.
I played my very last rugby match in a blizzard and it was hilarious fun. Utter chaos from start to finish and I almost reconsidered carrying on playing.

Not a bad winning goal though. Being called the Icicle Kick.

Wasn't that long ago that we beat Fergie's Man U 4-0 in a cup game played in a fucking blizzard, I was there, it was freezing. Seem to remember that Israeli player we had who almost sent one of their players up in the stands?
