El Scorchio, yep not arguing against that, I think it should just be renamed as you say Sports Person of the year after all when Andy Murray won it twice even he admitted "personality" probably wasn't apt!

I always thought 'personality' was a bit of a misnomer as it's really just 'sportsperson' of the year.
But to your point I think representation is just as big a part of it now as who has been the most prominent or successful.

If breakdancing and bmx riding can have Olympic sport staus then so should darts. This is where inclusion gets you, give it ten years and knitting will also be included.

Save yourself the effort of watching it -

SPOTY - a woman
Team - a woman’s team
Up & coming - a woman
Overseas personality - a woman

So it's a choice between 3 women, an annoying posho, adolf littler and Rory 'bit of a cսnt' McIlroy.

Probably one of the footballers as not sure the rugby union community will get behind the woman player given rugby union fans are all gay

F1 has the second highest number of winners and runners up after athletics. So it's entirely possible Lando might win. However as said IMO out of who is announced thus far, Rory and Littler's achievements this year have been the greatest, not that that usually counts for much.

Bookies have Rory as favourite, Lando in second and Kelly in third. It'll be one of those. I expect the BBC to use all it's resources to nudge everyone over toward Chloe Kelly.

It's not the show it used to be.

For me Rory or Littler out of who has been announced. I should think Chloe Kelly will win. They've definitely done their best to push female winners and indeed the last four have all been female so it wouldn't surprise me in the slightest.

Not watched this in over 20 years and will probably go to my grave having never seen it again.

Don't think not seeing it again will make my list of regrets
