I firmly believe that anyone who has a deep ambition to run a coutry should be disbarred from ever running anything. The ambition is the main thing and, to an extent, the politics are a mean towards an end. A lot of autocrats come power in elections and then getting more power, absolute power is the main driver.
Hitler had strong beliefs for sure and look where that ended. I suppose he at, least, didn't claim to be a living God like the phairohs and roman emperors.
It just happens that a lot of power-hungry narcissists end up in positions of huge power and us humans let them.
