this is one of those bonus games we need to win. If we play like we have been every chance of it.

Not realy sure if I've mentioned this but I fucking detest Man Ure, especially their fans.

Basically there are two types. Those who sound like they have come from the set of Coronation Street, and those who come from outside a 50 mile radius of Old Trafford. They are all cunts especially the latter group.

Man Ure moving up the table is as welcome as Netenyahu at a mosque.

Can I get a bet on a really dodgy reffing decision on a game changing issue, favouring them. Not all the exrtra possession they get from throw ins, corners ect. like Taylor at Chelsea

Looks like Adama will get the start.  Can't think he'd throw this kid...probably Diouf up to left wing and Scarles in at full back before that happens.
Bowen and Summerville trained today. Pablo is the rumoured injury concern. Lamadrid is probably just another attacking option for when Wilson is blowing out of his arse after ten minutes or we pick up another injury, I'd like to think Nuno would shore up the midfield without the work rate of Pablo. Potts or Magassa for Wilson I reckon. That midfield against Burnley gets bummed hard against better oppo.

Be happy with a draw but suspect they might have too much for us especially if we have one or 2 of our better players out.

So do I... because the manager has told us that there are knocks that will keep some out of the starting line up

No coincidence since they've both been paired together last 4 games we've had a significant upturn in results and performances.
True Fernandes being the playmaker

Massive.
disagree there.  Potts and Fernandes were better.  Having Potrs in allows Fernandes more freedom. Soucek looks a little fatigued. Better to have him in a 3. Pablo git a knock, keep him fir Bournemouth as I feel they will be onnthe up and more threatening. MU lucky against Spurs who went down to 10 men early. A good point or even scrape a 2-0. Last minute Wilson goal again to seel it,after an own goal by Dalot.
Orford and Myers on the bench.

If you want to rest players use the cup game!

Both we don't want any injuries to key players for the rest of the season

We wouldn't be resting players for a game which is a little under 2 weeks away. Not a chance

Wouldn't surprise me if Bowen was out as I thought he looked like he was struggling Saturday. Might make sense to rest him tomorrow and the cup game. Get him firing for the remainder of the season.

Soucek has to start. Same as Chelsea would be fine, just the first half like Chelsea would obviously be dream world, then hopefully Nuno has learnt and brings on Wilson and a few out of Potts, Traoré, Magassa to keep the pressure on and we fight on for a well deserved win with the crowd getting behind the team for a rare good night at the OS.

Team 4-4-2
Areola
AWB   Mavropanos    Disasi   Diouf
Bowen  Soucek    Fernandes  Summerville
Pablo   Taty

I was at this game last season, 2-1 to the happy Hammers. Same again please.
West Ham caught fire at last. Home Win

I think we should all forget about what the teams around us are doing and concentrate on winning as many games as possible.....remember the spirit of 2007?  As much as Soucek has contributed in our recent good form, l fear we may get over run in midfield. Therefore Potts comes in! I cannot see us winning as we may run out of steam again ala Chelsea, If we are still in the game with 20 minutes to go it maybe an idea to unleash Traore.

Fingers crossesd a draw at least!

GBHammer63 wrote: 09 Feb 2026, 13:59 I know it’s not fair but when I see Soucek in the side it’s like I’m focusing only on him and his mono speed, it’s not that he’s going to get worn out because he has the stamina just no change of pace, if he starts against MU I’d expect a tsunami of pressure which we’ve proven we can’t cope with. I’d chance Potts or Magassa to start instead of Tommy for their energy, get the ball forward and we’ve got a decent chance of coming away with something, would be lovely to put a spanner in their works again. Free hit.
I think it is harsh on Soucek. Actually think his passing (which tends to be a weakness of his) has improved since we have gone with him and Fernandes. Think not having that extra midfielder (at times two) is giving him more time and sensible options when it comes to passing the ball. Also one of the few leaders we have in the squad. We need his experience.
