It's sad that a long time poster like Sir Alf was abused and run off the site by some because he was too 'negative'. Rarely posts now.

Generally don’t like losing posters, but he’s no great loss.

The point is he was bullied off the site, which for me leaves a sour taste for a long-term WHO stalwart that never gave anyone any grief and enjoyed posting on here.

Sir Alf is alright just been worn down into a pessimist by too many years of supporting West Ham. Gets way too much abuse and doesn't bite back.

As I stated. I visit and post on this site out of habit mainly. If the site suddenly closed I wouldn't lose any sleep over it and would quickly move on. This site is not my life and it's merely just a distraction for me.

If my visiting and posting on this site offends you, then that's your problem. Maybe seek some therapy regarding your obsession with a random person on an internet forum you don't know and have never met.

No it doesn't offend me it amuses me.. It's a forum, someone posts something then someone else responds to it. I think slagging it off at every given opportunity when others have put in their own time to keep it going makes you a rude cսnt. 

If you don't like people replying to you and giving their opinion, and if makes you cry don't give yours in the first place and there'll be nothing to reply to, you donut. 

I have never slagged off the site or the people responsible for building the new site. In fact I have commended them for their efforts building the new site many times in the past.

I simply pointed out that all this work is far too late given the old site was left to rot for many years to the extent that it was largely unusable - particularly on match days when it would regularly crash.

Whilst Wills claims the traffic is increasing etc, the fact is that still only about a dozen people regularly post on here and the site in moribund compared to places like Facebook, Kumb, BBC HYS, X etc.

And yes, I will likely move over to Kumb at some point. I continue to post on here though out of habit and I suppose a sense of loyalty.

48 posters today.  Just FYI. Daily average over the last 3 month...65+.

Not thousands, but not 12 either. And as Wils says it is growing...slowly but surely.

And we have plans to keep it growing. What we could really do with is people promoting the site on those other channels.  As forums go, from a function and features perspective this is pretty much as good as anything else out there or better now and getting better all the time.

We just need to re-spread the word. We have some plans in place to get back towards what it was at one point...the place to go for West Ham info....the space is very fragmented now with lots of different channels and mediums to consume.

We'll try and make this somewhere you can get the overview of all that stuff and then discuss it cohesively (instead of being fragmented all over the place)...but it's a process.

Will take time....but we're working on it.
