"There is a very good section on GB news where the ludicrous idiocies of Wokeness are looked at I thought we would should have one for WHO. I'll start with Baptiste on BBC: In Hungary,an ambassador's family are kidnapped by Islamic terrorists and carry out atrocities. At the end of the last episode Baptiste finds out that it is a false flag operation and conveniently, the real culprits are white supremacists who want to stop all immigration. Coronation Street ITV a gay black footballer is stopped by the police, because he is driving an expensive car. He is pushed to the ground during an altercation, and damages his leg threatening his career. Could have been written by Dawn Butler or a BLM activist."

"LOL (BBC) Oscars: Danielle Deadwyler claims Hollywood is 'deeply impacted by racism' Published 2 hours ago Share Related Topics The Oscars Danielle Deadwyler IMAGE SOURCE,GETTY IMAGES Image caption, Awards watchers were shocked that Danielle Deadwyler was not nominated for the best actress Oscar By Steven McIntosh Entertainment reporter US actress Danielle Deadwyler has claimed the film industry is ""deeply impacted by systemic racism"", after no black women were nominated for best actress at this year's Oscars. Deadwyler was expected to be recognised for her performance in the drama Till. But she missed out on a nomination, as did Viola Davis, who was also widely tipped to be in the running. Deadwyler said there is a ""trickle-down effect"" of racism in society on many institutions in American life. In Till, the actress plays the mother of Emmett Till, a 14-year-old black boy who was lynched in Mississippi in 1955 after being accused of whistling at a white woman. Speaking to BBC Radio 4's Woman's Hour, Deadwyler said: ""Cinematic history is 100+ years old. I would dare say the system is deeply, deeply impacted by systemic racism that has shaped our country. ""And if we're still dealing with systemic racism in this country that is leading us to the loss of a Tyre Nichols, that carries us from the loss of Emmett, there is a trickle-down effect of how racism impacts our lives - from the educational system to the film industry to everything, any part of quotidian American life."" Jalyn Hall as Emmett Till and Danielle Deadwyler as Mamie Till Bradley in Till IMAGE SOURCE,ORION PICTURES Image caption, Deadwyler (right) plays Mamie Till-Mobley in the film, the mother of Emmett Till, played by Jalyn Hall Deadwyler was widely praised for her performance in Till, and was considered one of the favourites to be nominated in the leading actress category at this year's Academy Awards. After she was snubbed when the nominations were announced in January, Till writer and director Chinonye Chukwu accused Hollywood of ""unabashed misogyny towards Black women"". Referring to those comments, Deadwyler told Radio 4: ""Yes there is value to what [Chukwu] said, and it's imperative that every quality of our life begin to truly, deeply interrogate and shift and rupture and radically shift the way they seek to actually be an equitable institution."" Asked whether the Oscars or wider society needs to change, Deadwyler replied: ""It's from both ends... It's got to come from every angle."" The Academy has increased the number of female and black and ethnic minority voters since the #OscarsSoWhite outcry in 2015. 'Critical questions' Deadwyler noted that very few black women had been recognised at the Oscars, and there were often ""numerous decades in between"" those who had. She referred to Hattie McDaniel's supporting actress win in 1940 and Halle Berry's leading actress win in 2002, which remains the only victory in that category for a black woman. ""You have to begin to question why there are these gaps,"" Deadwyler said. ""Before I was even in consideration for anything, these are the things that I witnessed. ""So these are critical questions of, how do you begin to actually bring equity to spaces which have long been led or deeply impacted by white supremacy, ideologies, thoughts and practises?"" Halle Berry and Denzel Washington IMAGE SOURCE,GETTY IMAGES Image caption, Halle Berry, pictured with Denzel Washington in 2002, is the only black woman to have won best leading actress at the Oscars This year's best actress nominees are Michelle Yeoh, Cate Blanchett, Ana De Armas, Michelle Williams and Andrea Riseborough. British actress Riseborough scored a shock nomination following a campaign driven by a number of Hollywood A-listers. The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences conducted a review into the campaign and said some tactics ""caused concern"", but her nomination was not revoked. Williams was recognised despite a debate in Hollywood over whether she should have been nominated in the supporting actress category. No black men are nominated for best lead actor this year. Two black performers - Angela Bassett and Brian Tyree Henry - are in the running in the supporting categories. The winners will be announced on 12 March."

"""By what process does absolute bollocks such as critical race and queer theory get from university debating chambers (in fucking America), written into policy in Britain"" The academics who dreamt up this bollocks publish academic papers and their ""peers"" (other academics dreaming up the same bollocks) give the papers approval by publishing them in academic journals. Repeat a few times and they quote the bollocks as FACT as it's been published. Throw in a few gullible students who buy into and further the bollocks and it infects society via the workplace as those students take up admin/HR jobs. And we end up where we are now. Fucking brilliant."

"Unfortunately Yorkammer that is the problem. Racism, discrimination, sexism, etc have gone from being unacceptable to being actively encouraged as a means of retribution against the 'historic oppressors'. Group identity politics is ALL about discrimination. It promotes it, but describes it as a battle for recognition. Theyre not trying to break down barriers or call for equality, but to make greater divisions and promote their group individuality based on group characteristics."

On another note I read Netflix are making a film with Oprah Winfrey about 6668 the only all black women unit in ww2 based in Birmingham in the UK to sort troops unsent post and guess what they claim the black women were racially abused by the backward English natives. Sounds like Harry and Meghans narrative."

"By what process does absolute bollocks such as critical race and queer theory get from university debating chambers (in fucking America), written into policy in Britain and from thence into actual law by our cretinous political classes whilst bypassing the vast majority of us by? They’re all captured by this fuckwittery as well. It’s not as if we can fuck it off at the ballot box. All this has come about under a so called conservative government."

"Nailed it, Stubbo. White working/lower-middle class boys are absolutely fucked in this country, but no one gives a fuck about them. Sad, given that's the demographic who built the country. What a tragic place it's become. The woke white middle to upper class are the ones who created this shit, but they don't have to worry about the consequences, they have their trust funds. Still, as long as they can shout GAMMON when facts are thrown their way, who cares."

A couple of hundred years ago we would all have been serfs to the landed gentry. Women had no voice of note. There’s no virus. There is a land of plenty where people become decadent. This always happens. You cant fight it as no one is really struggling.

"Spot on stubbo. We are in the ludicrous situation where rational logical sensible people are marginalised by the hysterical non thinking majority. This really is the beginning of the demise of our society, I’m glad I don’t have kids. If we think it’s bad now just imagine what it will be like in 20 years when todays uni students are in senior positions. Frightening"

"Personally I think this woke bullshit is all bigger than national politics. It's a thought virus taking over the entire western world. Radical leftist crackpots formerly confined to dusty university halls have somehow been allowed to come to the fore as thought leaders. Opportunistic organisations like Stonewall, whose reason d'etre had fundamentally expired have jumped on a ludicrous cause to ensure their existence. Climate change....another opportunity for people to make a lot of money, despite increasing levels of contrary evidence emerging, you challenge the narrative makes you a tinfoil hat wearer. And don't get me started on the cowing to the cries of ""racist"" and ""hate speech"". 90% of the population of asked would still classify racism in the way Martin Luther King fought to eradicate....don't see the colour, see the individual. Racism now is about anyone who doesn't actively positively discriminate on the basis of those very characteristics that MLK wanted everyone to be blind to. And yet this redifinition has just been accepted into the mainstream without a hint of ""you fucking what?!"" By anyone, because if the fear of being dubbed racist by the original.definition of the word. The western world is off to the dogs, rapidly. I have times where I'm genuinely concerned for my young kids and the madnesses they will be exposed to in places that are supposed to have their best interests at heart."

"BRANDED Agree with Paras 1 and 2, entirely - anything for power. Best be minded of the Liberal Party to see where that leads Funny enough, those of the centre are rarely solidly convictional centrists, more frequently wafty of mind and politics - closet what's in it for me whilst publicly right on liberals - hence the opinion poll capers As of the youth, been a while since I was one so can't honestly comment. All I can say is that my kids and their pals developed a sudden interest in taxes, what they are spent upon and why once they left the common room and started earning a crust"

Crass I think the left embraced any minorities that would listen in the 90s to get a majority. This meant they had to also embrace their ideas not just ask for their vote. They cant insult these people. Power is captured. The problem the left now have is how many of their old base will tolerate this obvious nonsense and for how long? I assume it depends on the strengths of the economic ideas. I see large swathes of the centre are also unable to offend so go along with this crap. Although I do see some movement as they learn what exactly is going on. A lot of the youth are indoctrinated. They may be lost.

"Crass. No one is getting carried away - see Roy Jenkins' Ming vase analogy which I know resonates with the leadership. Eerie. Fair enough indeed, mate. That's the beauty of civilised English discourse isn't it. But don't think I am trivialising the woke debate. I may be coming at it from a different perspective but it is far from a trivial issue - whoever of us us right."

"Fo It is difficult to imagine the Tory's could have conceived a more catastrophic administration had they tried. Funny enough when all the talk was of the 'red wall' I was espousing that was the least of their problem, they were and now have, blown bloody great holes in their own blue version Not quite so sure that it's all down to Starmer but that aside, your chaps would be well advised to control their excitement, after all opinion polls have been rather amusingly incorrect before"

"Crass. All good here, cheers. Labour's vagueness on trans issues irritates me too. So much grief on a matter of so little general interest. It's symbolic of a party trying too hard not to upset what it perceives to be an element of its core vote that is feels it has to keep happy. The irony is that those most vocal in defending a woman's right not to be confronted by swinging-dick blokes in their own spaces (for which they have fought long and hard are also within the party. As ever, some odd dynamics playing out. Re your last point, Labour is currently polling at around 50 percent. It's clearly speaking for some people, even if it's chiming with a body politic not of your own persuasion. Aided and abetted by the Tories of course, Starmer's achievement as leader have gone far beyond what I would have predicted."

"BRANDED Afternoon my old China ''Is not the issue the perceived offence taken by left, right and centre by language deemed offensive and the degree to which a philosophy in partnership with power can put that right?'' In a word no It's more an issue of remote and minority pressure groups being given a disproportionate platform by a metrocentric media, political class and a self serving legal system. Woe betide anyone suggest that there are more immediately important and pressing issues, they are immediately far right 'gammons' - an amusing racist pejorative at that And as for the young lemon, he sounds like one of those Ruperts that drive a Range Rover from the home counties to park and obstruct the M25 Is he a bird with a dick by chance or just aspiring to be so? ;)"
