Yeah found it to be really boring.
The WHU references were as naff as Brosnan's accent.

I thought it was pretty average considering the amazing cast.

I watched Red Sonja last night. I knew what to expect. I was surprised how many decent actors they managed to do it. However Matlida Luzt is on my top 10 list (see a film called Revenge 2017) and she spends a lot of the movie semi-naked so its not a complete waste of time.

Re: 2020 Movies (now including 2021 - 2025)
Have a Curzon subscription so saw Thursday Murder Club even though it’s going to Netflix on Thursday
Pleasant enough but was wondering how much the retirees were paying to live in a country house resembling Downton Abbey
Pierce Brosnan stars with Helen Mirren, Ben Kingsley & Celia Imrie as the OAP’s
He plays a former union leader and towards the end is shown in his West Ham polo watching a match on tv with his son
Could be up for an Oscar as he pretends to be enjoying the game … I think Bowen scores

The first two are decent enough.
The third one is straight trash.

Recently watched, Life of Chuck , quite a good feel good movie with some nice crazy mathematics theories at the core running through it . Quite enjoyed the Brad PItt F1 film , good bit of non stop High Octane fun, again with some good Tech info and crazy tactics . Doubt there for everyone but some will enjoy them .

Re: 2020 Movies (now including 2021 - 2025)
Watched the third of Kenneth Brannagh's Poirot offerings with Death on the Nile last night. Obviously knowing the story doesn't help in a "whodunnit" but I adored the Peter Ustinov version but again didn't rate Brannaghs at all. Any love for Brannagh's trilogy?

Watched Salvable recently. Decent English film about crime and boxing, with Toby Kebbell (Dead Man’s Shoes and RocknRolla) and a great cameo from Shia LaBeouf.
Also Sovereign is a good film. It’s an US anti government film based on a true story. Nick Offerman is great in the lead role.

Watched a low budget I guess horror/slasher called Blood River about a group of English tourists chased by canabalistic indians int he Amazon. Was actually quite good.
Re: 2020 Movies (now including 2021 - 2025)
I saw that Happy Gilmore 2 is out, then I suddenly realised that I had never actually seen Happy Gilmore 1 so sat down to watch it last night. I suspect that at the age I was when it first came out back in 1996 I would have probably found it funny, but not now. I'll probably leave 2 until there is absolutely nothing else to watch!

Re: 2020 Movies (now including 2021 - 2025)
I do agree that the ending was a bit strange.
Obviously the Jimmy Saville cult leader was that one kid from the beginning, watching Teletubbies, who survived and has never grown up.
Interested to see where they go with it.
