Away at Arsenal...we've won the last two encounters...so are due a shellacking.  They've strengthened notably this season, as well as being on form.  That said, we'll clearly play on the counter and expect out line up to largely be the same as for Everton.

On paper can't see anything other than a comfortable Arsenal win but here's hoping we can put in a decent performance

I’m going down for it. Beer, pie and mash, make my way to north London, back home to Scouse post game, in the pissing rain.

We’ll lose 3-1.

Also the world cup ball dropped today and you can't afford not to buy it at 126 GBP. Design inspired by the mexican wave, originating 40 years ago in the '86 world cup in case you didn't feel old enough already.

Arsenal are due for a banana skin game. We have the holy spirit now and we put a major dent in their title aspirations. 1-2 up the hammers and a conga line through WHO.

I'm not expecting much. I won't use the result as a dig at Nuno unlike the hapless Potter.

I think we'll lose, but reckon we'll put up a fight. Might even get a man sent off. Could get testy, because Potts and Magassa will get after Rice.

Reckon Nuno understands things like London rivalries and derbies. He's that sort of character.

Unfortunately, the perennial runners-up are stacked. The cunts.

Hope im wrong and its one of those famous away days and 1-0 to West Ham when least expected and against the odds...........

It's got all the hallmarks of a West Ham win this fixture. No reason for it to happen at all which is why it's highly likely it will. 😂

I admire the totally blind optimism chaps but I think a dose of realism needs to be added.

Ah, fuck it, i'll bite, we score an 89th minute winner FROM a corner after that cսnt Arteta gets sent off, at long last, for actually entering the field of play whilst we are playing down that wing near the managers boxes. The ball bounces off him as he gestures to everyone to get back. Ref sends him off. 1 minute later corner goes in. They get a corner in the 119th minute but the ref blows up before they can take it, lovely.

It's a free swing. I'm sure we'll likely lose, so approach it as an opportunity rather than a black hole. Nuno can say that we are going to try some things so not to worry too much if we don't get it right on the day and we ship a couple by being bold and not fearing mistakes.

I'd like to see us use it part as a defensive drill seen as they are the 'set piece wizards' (not anti football cloggers like they would be if they were Stoke of course) to try and just get us tighter at the back and more comfortable at set pieces and balls into the box.

Then partly work on transitioning as fast as possible from defence to attack and being as opportunistic as possible and flooding bodies forward quickly to stretch it, particularly as the game goes on. This is the sort of game to make mistakes and experience teething problems in before the real ones that count after the international break.

Everyone will have it pencilled in as 2 or 3 nil to them so if that ends up being the score we've not lost anything but if we an take a point or even better by being brave then that's a great bonus.
