‘Name on the table’ – West Ham concretely turn to 22-year-old for January arrival

Zulte Waregem’s Tochukwu Nnadi has ended up on West Ham United’s transfer agenda for the winter market. He’s a ‘name on the table’ for the Hammers, and they’re serious.
That’s according to Het Nieuwsblad, who cover West Ham’s interest in the 22-year-old.
He joined the Jupiler Pro League side from Bulgarian side Botev Plovdiv in January 2024. The defensive midfielder was limited to a backup role last season when Zulte Waregem secured promotion to the top division.
Nnadi’s situation has improved this season and he’s played 1,319 minutes from 16 matches so far. He’s been a ‘key player’ for the Belgian club, and his performances would have not gone unnoticed.
Nuno Espírito Santo’s side have included the Nigerian in their wish list for January. It’s claimed the Hammers see the Zulte Waregem star as a ‘concrete option’ to improve their midfield.
The newspaper questions whether the Belgian club risk losing him in the next window.
At this moment in time, Zulte Waregem haven’t received a concrete offer from West Ham. That’s mainly because the Premier League club have other names on their midfield target list.
Nnadi has a contract until 2028 and Transfermarkt value him at €2m. Zulte Waregem may request a higher fee, but it could still be reasonable for West Ham.
