Running a bit late on this one, but I'll keep it brief.  I've a sneaky feeling we beat Villa.  Not overly impressed by them man for man, they've had an away trip in Europe, and it's a lot of travelling.  Plus with the Bonds memorial pagentry, the whole ground should be up for giving someone a kicking.

Jack Rudoni from Coventry would be a much better replacement and he's naturally left footed to give the midfield some balance but we ain't getting anywhere near him now. Watch Palace or Brighton sign him up.

Its at least competitive but way too soon to tell and whether we can catch up after that dodgy start. It will come down to beating those around us (Leeds and Forest at home will be massive) and wins in games like today. It looks encouraging based on what we are seeing today though

 

Question of how much we've handicapped ourselves with the first 8 games whilst we were trying to work out the best team and who should be managing them.

That's exactly it. We've given everyone else an 8 game head start. Potter should have been binned in the summer, but even I thought he deserved a transfer window. Oh well we're here now.

More of the same West Ham... just gotta hope Nuno doesn't administer the usual half time Moggadon that sees us sit back and try to defend the lead.

They are really uncomfortable with our pace going forward, we need to keep at them. They are gonna lose a man if they hafta keep hacking us down...

Decent so far, they're a very good team with excellent movement.. We're a bit too deep at times but we're in the lead.. 

Stadium really doesn't help, leading against the form team in the league and the atmosphere just can't take off.

Well deserved 2-1 lead and a nice half of football from us. We've kept them quiet, the own is what it is and  we carried a real threat going forward. More of the same, no going deep and trying to defend at 2-1, at least not too early.,
