Yep, we raided Southampton and Leicester thinking we were being clever. Yet when you think about it, they're used to losing on a big scale and will find it hard to shake that mentality. So what would the Club do? Go for yet another one but this time up front.

We're, not in a great bargaining position though, he's no use to us and we need his wages or part of for a new striker.. They have us over a barrel

Just watching Woldermade for Newcastle. Actual movement in the box. We really need someone like that. I thought fullkrug was meant to be that type of player. Not sure how he starts (or even gets in the squad) for Germany in the summer regardless of switching team.

Fair point but I think we dodged a bullet with Duran. But yeah the money would have been better spent on just about anyone else

Recently he's only come on against Leeds, and he looked like he'd won a competition at the local fate to play for West Ham.
can't recall when but the times I've seen him he at least pressed the opposition and worked hard. I'd like to see him alongside either Bowen or Wilson but that won't happen in a month of Sundays.

As well as Wilson has done it’s ludicrous that our total striking attack is a 34yo who can maybe play 70mins once a week
Yeah but we have Marshall.
I'd still like to see Marshall given more game time. He's looked lively whenever he's come on.

We need something along the lines of Hartson & Kitson impact like in 1997.

Was reading that if Guehi goes in January Palace were interested in Kilman. That would be a major result especially if we could replace him with Charlie Cresswell of Toulouse
If Paqueta wants out that’s ok if we can replace him. If Atletico Madrid were up for a swap for Conor Gallagher we should jump at that

That rascal Ferret is more likely implying Potts is not up to it
He knows that having a dig ar a home grown West Ham player is the best way to irritate / annoy posters. Gives him the “fuel” he needs if someone reacts.
When Earthy gets minutes ( likely very soon imo) you can guarantee he will start a new campaign about how Earthy is not up to PL standard etc. To be fair, Earthy might not show whats needed but Im suspecting like Potts he will make the grade.
Mainoo? As mentioned, good passer etc but not quick or physical enough at times. In the right midfield alongside some athletic types with the physicality he can still be a very good player in the PL but the Mancs weakes, like us before Potts, Magassa and Fernandes stepped up, is lack of pace and power in the middle of the park. Mainoo will need to go to another PL club or abroad to get game time

He'd transform our midfield.
I think the main issues with him they have is that he's tortoise slow, and not very physical.
Seems to be one of those players that's rated by people who don't watch Man United.

Re: Winter '25/26 Transfer Rumours Thread
I wonder how Traore is on the left (given that he'd only ever play on the right if Bowen was injured). I think that he's only played there a couple of dozen times in his career.
I was just reading an article quoting his youth team manager describing him as "like a Formula 1 car driven by a child. The machine dominated him." Clearly nothing really changed as he got older. Definitely someone who could bring the ball out of our own half though, which would be useful.
